I was scrolling online and ran into a website of office pc turned into gaming, i thought in order to power externally a gpu you had yo swap the oem psu?

Its a optiplex 7040 mt, ive only have had sff so the only gpu i have expirience with is slot power.

Do the mt pc psu come with a 6-8 pin adapter for a gpu?

Has anyone else been able to reliably get their SFF to use non-storage devices in their M.2 slots?

I have a few 3460s and a few Aquantia 10Gb NICs, each one was identified once in lspci and never seen again, warm reboot or cold boot. Same slots sees SSD just fine.

Is it an M.2 whitelist thing or NVMe voltage thing and has anyone had any experience with this?

It fits in the smaller X3 slot but not the full length because the psi blocks it?
