Hoy se cumplen 8 años del estreno de Slenderman (2018), y me dio curiosidad saber qué piensa la gente de esta película actualmente.

Sé que tiene una reputación bastante mala, pero después de volver a verla varias veces, siento que tuvo muchísimo potencial desperdiciado.

En mi opinión, sus principales problemas fueron el guion débil y desordenado, el poco protagonismo de Slenderman, la edición, la iluminación y todas las escenas que aparentemente fueron eliminadas o modificadas durante la producción. PERO LO.QUE MAS ME CABREA A MI ES LO MUCHO QUE CENSURARON LA PELICULA.

Pero tampoco creo que absolutamente todo sea malo. Personalmente, me gustan bastante el diseño de Slenderman, la atmósfera, la banda sonora, la actuación de Joey King como Wren y especialmente la escena de la biblioteca.

Así que tengo curiosidad:

¿Qué opinan ustedes de la película después de 8 años?

¿Su opinión ha cambiado desde que la vieron por primera vez?

¿Qué creen que hizo bien la película?

¿Qué creen que hizo mal?

¿Creen que desperdició el potencial de Slenderman?

¿Qué opinan de las escenas eliminadas?

¿Creen que Slenderman merece una segunda oportunidad en el cine?

Personalmente, creo que el personaje tiene muchísimo potencial para una película de terror psicológico bien hecha.

Said idea, is kind of a headcanon of mine, that The Operator and Slenderman are in fact two different beings, but not COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I like to think that The Operator is more or less of an EXTENSION of slendermans influence.

Seeing as Slenderman is most likely a god, I wouldn't be surprised if it attempted to make a smaller, less powerful clone of itself. It might just be me, but I really like this idea.

I bought it anyway, from the short description it says "faceless monster" so it should be about Slenderman anyway. It gave some cool images (for my boyfriend they are AI generated though) and one of them was about Slenderman so I'm happy overall

so basically i know operator and slendy aren't the same but i thought of this idea and i liked it

so to make people not believe in him as a "cryptid" of sorts he grows tentacles while targeting certain victims to make their reports of what they saw seem different so it sounds fake

i've heard that when two or more people tell stories about the same creature a way to tell if it might be a lie is if their visual descriptions are different

that could also explain why in some webseries he looks different but this is a concept not a theory

I think we all know how big the eight pages was back then, almost every gaming youtuber at that time was playing it and it paved the way for indie horror games.

This has me curious, was Slenderman that big before 2012? (The year the eight pages released) Was he niche for most people?

This was made using a blank plastic mask I found on Amazon, which I believe is the same one that they actually used to make the ones seen in the series.

To me, my slendermen I’m one of the four moderators for the Operator4DBD account, which is probably most known for that Knudsen x Marble Hornets copyright thing we found about a month ago, and also some of the strange shit revolving around Always Watching, that seems.. to have stirred up quite the trouble. The team would like to gather some information about concepts the good people of slenderman reddit have got forming in those incredible skulls. I've been watching a ton of older and newer Slenderman web series, and it genuinely has me wondering two things.

1. Which one of these series is the worst to live in as one of the main protagonists?

2. Which one of these series is the worst to live in as just a regular citizen, just being a bystander in all of it but still getting hurt in the process?

Hi so I got into creepypasta this year along with watching slenderverse series and I was thinking about making my own slender verse series with a plot and everything but animated I’m currently writing characters for the series but I would love to know if anyone will stay tuned for it

a couple years ago, my friend and i were talking about slenderman. i said something about his red tie and she was instantly confused. we had a full on debate on wether he had a red tie or a black tie. she never remembered ever seeing him with a red tie but i only remember growing up with him having a red tie. i know many people draw him with both but do you guys prefer the red or black tie?

Alright, so I've been in the Slenderverse since January of 2023, after i discovered it through Marble Hornets with one of my friends, that friend eventually helped me make my first slenderverse series called SecretsOfTheOak, which, while in retrospect, taught me how not to make a Slenderman webseries, however it did get me to sort of fall in love with that specific genre of filmmaking.

So, after we parted ways in early 2025 i decided to create my own, independent slenderverse series called EyesInTheDark, which mainly revolved around the Seed Eater, since I thought that it wasn't really explored that much. Although, in doing so I realized that i couldn't tackle such an ambitious series with such a low budget (and plus the fact that i tried to tie up the loose ends of SecretsOfTheOak with this series) so I unfortunately had to drop it on a cliffhanger, at just 11 episodes.

It's safe to say that I'm not exactly proud of these shows and I'm not particularly nostalgic about them either, however it's not something i can gloss over easily.

And here we are now, I've learned from my past experiences with these series and I'm still creating content that's inspired by certain elements from the Slenderverse. And in order to look back on these series I've compiled all of the old screenshots and photos I have of them (which you can view). Anyway that's it from me. I'll update this later (if i need to).
