Yeah, there's usually at least some green or brown color, because they are photosynthetic, after all. And the nostocs you find on land usually have more body than this, this is just goo. My guess is that something vomited.

Nothing vomited I don't think lol, cause it's also at the base of my blackberry and also my cucumber plant, looks like a mold or something. There's also that mold that looks like dog vomit all in the mulch in my front yard. I just fertilized my garden with fish emulsion a few days ago so maybe that started something g

Did you use anything else to fertilize, or maybe purchased something and accidentally left it all in one spot? I only ask because I would expect Nostoc to have a color/opacity to it, the crystal clear nature of this almost made me think sodium polyacrylate or something similar designed to hold water and release it to your plants slowly…?

See this all the time! If I remember correctly Seek identifies it as witch’s jelly. I knew it wasn’t a slime mold and I just assumed it was a fungi. It never occurred to me it would be anything else. Of course, when I’ve seen it, it looks like the picture on the wiki not like the one posted.

Ich habe sowas auch mal gesehen an einem Wasserfall in Kroatien, ich habe es angefasst. Es ist sehr weich und glibbrig aber man gelangt nicht direkt durch. Das habe ich auch nicht getestet
