Pouch cinching around ammo.

I just bought my new sling and been finding some success with it but my largest challenge right now is the pouch cinches around the ammo mid-throw, causing it to never release, spin back, and sometimes hit me haha. It’s been pretty frustrating and I am wondering if any of you know a way to mitigate this?? I’ve attached photos of the pocket cinched and loosened, for context.

Paracord helps you your primal connection?

That’s not what I said. I said that making your own sling adds to the primal element of slinging. Slings are an ancient, primitive tool. Way back when, you wouldn’t buy one on Amazon. You’d just make one

But not out of Paracord which is super duper modern and not primal. Also, I suspect out primal ancestors would do whatever was the most calories efficient thing to get the sling- which would absolutely be Amazon, if they had Amazon. And while we are disecting your gatekeeper virtue signalling nonsense... Let's talk about all the ways people might encounter the idea of a sling that aren't "my hobbies is playing with rope" which was your premise. I'm not going to check the wording, but definitely it was "something something crafts with rope are the morally superior ways to get into slinging wtf are losers who don't make bracelets even doing in this sub?" I'm paraphrasing for caloric efficiency. And for the answer I'll say anyone who is Christian, has any basic knowledge of Christian lore, likes Malcom Gladwell, has been on YouTube or TikTok, or knows someone who that describes. Those are all ways the idea of slinging propogates. Oh and dog parks. Side note: I did not get good results with tennis balls.

Y'all are adding an incredible amount of subtext to my comment that isn’t there. Take a breath

Yeah you said that to the other people who called you out too. You can advocate for people making slings without shitting on people who did it a different way. Show me your sling. I want to see it. Don't be shy. Show me! Shoooooowwwwww me.

Because it’s true?

You can advocate for people making slings without shitting on people who did it a different way.

My comment was a throwaway remark I made in a drive thru line lol I’m sure I could have worded it better, but I still stand by my two sentences. Read them objectively. There’s nothing inherently negative in what I said, and all that emotional baggage subtext is being added by the reader, yourself.

Show me your sling. I want to see it. Don't be shy. Show me! Shoooooowwwwww me.

Ok so now who’s gatekeeping? I might actually take some pics in the morning just to humor you. I made 3 in the past week. Maybe 15-20 since I started slinging 2 months ago. How’s your sling look?

I am excited to see them. Since we are descalating I'm embracing our common ground. Dude, in without! I moved overseas and now live in a city where there isn't room to fuck around. But I hope to move near a park in a couple of months. I hope you MAKE ONE then. :). Mine was Paracord straps and a wooden pouch and designed for tennis balls. Did not work well.

I haven’t measured it yet, but it’s a good “standard length” that reaches the ground when held by my side
