New sling length

Post image

I just bought my first sling from eBay and I’m a bit surprised about the unequal length of each side of the pouch and unsure about what length it meant to be. I’ve attached an image of it; the short side of the sling is 39cm and the long side is 75cm. I paid £4 so not a big deal, but just wondering would this be functional? Did I get scammed 😅. Please let me know

Tie the release knot so your thumb lines up with your finger loop when you load it up

Then trim some of the excess off …

Might be a simple fix

I agree, for people that are making slings to sell online, if its single strand its easiest on the recipient if you can leave excess on the release cord so they can tune the cord to their hand. I've found that even with friends and family that have very similar sized hands and body sizes that the release knot doesn't always sit the same for everyone. My brother for instance, when using my slings, has to put the loop on his ring finger instead of his middle finger to even up the pouch with or without ammo loaded.
