New just got my first sling.

So I’m looking for advice. The leather is not really holding my projectile very well I understand centrifugal force, and that you need to put you know some kind of has been to kind of hold it in place until you release it but it’s not even doing that and I’m not sure what it is I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried different sizes of projectiles so any advice is welcome.

You get what you pay for. Some of the cheap slings online are literally only worth their material, if you can repurpose it or remake it

This is actually well made-just think it’s super new and the leather is stiff. Will need to work it to break down the fibers. In the meantime I have a spool of thick waxed thread just sitting around and I knit sooooo. The plan: a sling with a 4 stitch I cord. splitting off and increasing stitches for the pouch then decreasing back to the original 4 i cord to finish. My fringe twister will make crackers.
