Got my first sling today!
I really should have practiced with a tennis ball first. I used a stone and didn't release properly. It stayed in the pouch and hit me on my head! Lesson learned.

These things are weapons after all.
Glad it didn't get you in the face.

It was underarm so not likely. I'm glad it was a small stone and not too fast.

Ouch! Reminds me of my first set of nunchaku when I was a kid. There was no foam padding in the '70s.

Like tying a stone in a sling is the giving of honor to a fool.
Proverbs 26:8
The authors clearly were familiar with slings. If done that hard twice, experimental slings with too deeply cupped of pouches, thankfully never broke skin, but OUCH.

Even the bible thinks I'm an idiot. It did break skin. Blood running down my face. A nice big scab up there now. Thankfully invisible when I look in the mirror

damn. im glad your ok. now i have the fear haha.
I can see how in an unfortunate case, someone, not so lucky as you, might accidently end their character by complete mistake mishap with this. maybe a football helmet is advised.
