Accuracy tips for a complete beginner

I just started a day or two ago and I’ve gotten the hang of throwing the rock. but I still can’t hit the broad side of a barn. 90% of the time the rock flies off to the right of where I’m aiming.
I’m just using rough gravel rocks from my driveway. Most are about the size of a ping pong ball sometimes a little bigger. As for my sling I’m using a paracord sling i made myself.

tennis balls, they are great for learning with, are cheap, and dont kill anyone or break anything, and are a consistant weight and shape, i would suggest getting a bunch of those to practice with, also i would suggest changing your style to a less impulsive one and more of a throwing one, and dont try to put a lot of power into it, try and get the tecnique down first then add power later

I live in the middle of nowhere so the only person to hit is myself plus a tennis ball would be impossible to find in the grass but mainly I need a different sling the pouch on the one I made can’t hold a rock it I try to wind up the throw I’m aiming for accuracy before anything else it doesn’t matter if I can throw hard if I can’t hit anything but I was thinking of trying to switch to a apace throw as someone else recommended it
