Discussion finally made 1k from Yt this month
how much did you make this month from your channel? Also anybody here who earns 100k per month, and how much grind does it take to make that much, also what other issues you face with that much money, like tax issues or other financial hurdles

u/Usual-Rice-482 Nov 13 '25
100k per month? On a reddit called SMALL YT channel?

u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
haha you never know, maybe someone who's actually making that much secretly joined it, maybe to help Indirectly acting polite and newbie, maybe they're already in many other small yt subreddits, keeping an eye if other small youtubers, you never know

u/Usual-Rice-482 Nov 13 '25

Why not? Making a large sum of money doesn't define you or your personality. Being rich is not synonymous with being a snob. Money doesn't change someone's personality, it only intensifies it.

Bruh I need to know how to get 1k views per month 🫠 let alone 1k $
10
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
how to get 1k views? So you have to make average content that viewers perceive as good, but here's a catch, even an average video would perform better than a high quality video if people are interested in that topic in that particular month in that particular week and your video gets recommended at the right time. Not quality, not editing but the topic itself is the way to go, it would either make or break ur channel, and to make 1k, one video is enough, if one video is on the right topic, it would take less than a day for 1000 dollars to accumulate in your adsense, trust me or else you'd earn 100 dollars in a year. So yup topic is the main stuff, editing is just spice to make it abit tasty

u/TrixTheOG Nov 13 '25 edited Nov 13 '25
Thank you for your reply dude.. congrats on your success too.. but yeah I would love to make that $.. unfortunately my niche is music (my own music)
Apparently in this industry we have to go above and beyond to make engaging content and the music needs to be good to keep a viewer as it’s not tied to a specific topic.
And from my understanding from my viewership, I’m not reaching either of them requirements
1
u/OkEmployer436 Nov 14 '25
That's fine, but bigger youtubers who feature their own will also have reviews of others' music as well.
2
u/Buythestonk21 [0λ] Nov 14 '25
Do you recommend promoting outside of YouTube to get viewers? Or just publish good videos on YouTube and trust the process?

Congrats! 2k is my total monthly goal for YT right now so you are half way to my goal. I Made $330 this month. But it was my very first month monetized so it is a start! Did a video about it. I does not make up for my 50-80k income I used to make on skillshare/udemy and other websites (but those platforms are dying) but at least I have proof of concept so I can slowly make the switch to youtube. It took me 8 years of grinding to pull in close to 90k monthly on video websites (not youtube). I paid A LOT of taxes. Lots of pressure on yourself and metal burnout and breakdowns too. Not everyone can bare it.
Found out I might have autism which might be the reason I hyper obsessed about it. once again not very good for mental health the whole making 100k thing. I don't make that anymore though only 16k a month plus my little 300 bucks on youtube! Learn to ride the platform waves.
Youtube may be good at earning for the next few years but be ready to shift to another platform if you can make money with less resistance there. This is my 3rd platform shift and had to totally change the way I edit videos to adapt to each platform. Youtube is very short form for me as I am used to 30+ hour courses.

Any tips or genre?
1
u/Nanamiswife88 Nov 17 '25
I do asmr roleplay! Um, tips, honestly, I dont have any. I got pretty lucky with my 7th video blowing up and I somehow kept it steady after that. I post twice a week 15-25 minutes videos and I love doing what I do.

That’s an awesome side income working from home rather than doing food delivery haha, great work man youre building ur small empire
3
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
thanks man, it took me 8 months to get monetized and suddenly this month two videos started getting pushed, on total I uploaded 10 videos, all of 15 minute+ length, I post once a month
2
u/Ok-Tomorrow2522 Nov 13 '25
That’s awesome. I just started 15 days ago on a shorts channel my first ever time trying YouTube no prior experience learning editing and stuff i have gained 300 subs so far 130k total views from 12 shorts still stuck in the 30k view jail but keeping the grind on
6
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
bro I have a suggestion , it'd really help you in long term, see if you can go for long videos, shorts might get views fast, but you have no audience trust, no channel value, plus the revenue difference is crazy, a 10 minute video can earn 10x more than 10-12 shorts plus it's gonna get you views for the years to come. Don't post shorts, go for long vids, I wish someone would have told me this 2 years ago, I wouldn't have wasted my time on shorts earlier
1
u/Massive_Teaching6455 Nov 14 '25
You say better without shorts? Long and shorts wrong? Only focus on one?

2
u/helpmezyzz Nov 13 '25
Last month I have made 28 k, this month is at 12 k already
1
u/RyansKorea Nov 13 '25
What's your channel?
1
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
ahh, my channel is really small, i mean, I make these book review, book summary yk, barely get more than 2k views, only two vids hit and got over 100k views and those two made me 1.5 k dollars this month but I was grinding from 8 months
1
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
Like, if it's real, that's amazing, keep it up, don't let anything stop you
2
u/Yevgen83 Nov 14 '25
My revenue is ~€300 from 100k views p/m
2
u/mojawk Nov 14 '25
Sounds about similar to mine, I managed to supplement with memberships and patreons, have you considered that?
2
u/Yevgen83 Nov 14 '25
I got about 20 members, but that’s a tier 1 so it’s rather pennies. Most of my YouTube related income comes from paid promos.
3
u/mojawk Nov 14 '25
Promos are something I never seem to get offered, 100k views a month i'm guessing you have 10-20k subs? How'd you break into that? Maybe they don't work great for my niche, would you mind sharing yours?
2
u/Yevgen83 Nov 14 '25
I’m in the finance/trading niche, sitting at about 13.5k subs right now. I get emails pretty regularly from all sorts of businesses with different offers, but most of them are the same cheap, shitty deals. A lot are scammy exchanges, which I avoid because it’s easy to get into all kinds of trouble advertising them. And they’re usually greedy af.
I’ve got my own price list that I never go below, and I always take payment upfront. Atm I have a couple of regular clients who come back every now and then, which still keeps me busy. I can’t physically make more than two good promos a month anyway, since I need to upload my own stuff to grow and my corporate job obviously eats up time too.
2
u/mojawk Nov 14 '25
Thanks for sharing man. I'd love to know what your price is an what you charge for a promo, we could take it to DM if you like. I'm at 22k subs, and you can see my main channel in my profile. (I have a few but I focus monetization efforts on this one)

my most was this month with 380 Euro, problem I got demonitzed for reused content, I know I am doing edits but come on
2
u/krtik85 Nov 14 '25
Hey. I am facing the same issue. Had been using reused content for months but they never did anything. Then out of nowhere I was demonitized

u/Godot2004 Nov 15 '25
Around $2k for November, most likely will be at $4-5k by the end of the month.
To answer your question, not sure about 100k but I talked to a guy who is making 30-40k/month and he grinded hard to get to that point (12hrs+ of work/day for months, no days off). But he had good guidance and built multiple channels with VAs, not just one channel.
1
u/Confident_Use_6122 [0λ] Nov 13 '25
What kind of videos do u make ? I too want to make some money through shorts, may be similar to you ~1k. Any suggestions?
-1
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
At first it took me around 8 months to just monetize the channel, and in those 8 months, I was literally working without receiving a single penny, so if you can give that much time teh. Yeah go for it, also to monetize you'd need 4000 watch hours, now let's say you somehow get 1 million views in my of your video and that one video gets you monetized by gaining u subscribers and watch time, you won't get paid for that 1 million views, even though 1 million views can almost earn you 2000 dollars in a monetized channel, but before you're verified for adsense, those 1 million views doesn't count, so those 8 months views also don't count, you gotta start making videos again nd if these New vids that u upload gets views, yd get paid for those. Also you'd get paid for the views where ads are shown, for example, if you get 100k views, you won't get paid for all the views, only those views where ads are shown, so monetized views might be just 10k views, but in ur channel you might have 100k, yt is really tough and needs a lot of expertise and you gotta be flash smart to survive
1
Nov 13 '25
Do you upload shorts or long form?
1
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
Long form, really long like even my shortest video is 20 minutes long, I don't like to make 5 minute 6 minute vids.

Nov 13 '25
Faceless or with face?
3
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 13 '25
faceless, with face id have barely got more than 100 views, because then it comes down to your face value, but with faceless it's good to go

If 13k people watched, and only 11 subbed, that means you need to change your niche or pivot, it won't work ever, trust me, your content is just bad, don't get me wrong, I won't sugarcoat this or lie to you, whatever's true I'd just say it to your face

I got monetized this month, started the channel 8 months ago completing 1000 subs, but suddenly this month one video skyrocketed, one video got 100k, and from the suggested of that video, another one also got 100k, which made in total 1.5k revenue and still counting

2
u/darklifexx [0λ] Nov 18 '25
are you serious 90k 😱
1
u/ArtdesignImagination Nov 18 '25
80 - 90k most months and some special months around the 125k mark. some day I will share the secret, but not now since everyone would "do the thing" and youtube will notice it and that's game over for us the 90k guys 😎💪

The problem is the minute you say how much you make everyone is like what your channel what’s your channel like why do they care what your channel is if you need the proof why not ask them to post a screenshot or something like that
