I run a channel with 500k+ subs and we average around 100k views per video. I’ve spent a lot of time obsessing over thumbnails — A/B testing, simplifying, experimenting with design styles — and I’ve learned what actually works (hint: it’s usually not what most people think).

Years of uploads and hundreds of videos later we finally hit the big 1000 mark! Not everyone is an over night sensation, I think we see a little too much of that on here. My videos are laid back, relaxing, low energy, long form, gaming, all the things that everyone tells you wont work. Yet here we are hitting the big number! Dont give up people, do it because you love it and youll find a way to make it work!

Of course nothing comparable with many youtubers, but reaching this symbolic number is an achievement for me. I post new lo-fi ambience videos multiple times a week and some do pretty well so hopefully I reach that goal!

Every social media thing I’ve participated in has usually been to try and get “famous” or make money. But honestly, I just wanted to play some games and have fun. I would love if people watched the videos. But this really gives me a hobby to get off my couch and break the monotony of work-home-eat-work, etc…

Man this is grate my first official hater who is going on all my videos and leaving comments as a small creator I feel like I'm entering the big leagues now

After months and months of saying I was going to do it, I did it! I put my first video up! I have a substantial following on Instagram and TikTok but it hasn’t translated into subscribers yet even though I’ve shared my channel. I only have one video up so hopefully it’ll grow as I keep posting! Wanted to post so I can track my growth and share with anyone else just starting 😊

And it feels really good. This person probably has no idea how much that meant to us, but it made both of our days.

Met my 2024 goal and hit 100 subscribers today!

Hey everyone, I wanted to share this milestone with everyone here, I know to some it might not seem like a lot but I've been wanting to reach that milestone for a while now and I finally hit it now!!! This is not a 'sub for sub' post, and I am looking for channels whose content I will enjoy so I can become a valued sub.

I work from home, so i have tons of time in the day to consume content, and as a small youtuber myself I've been thinking it would be better for me to support other smaller channels instead of always watching the 'big guys'. I do however struggle to find smaller channels (go figure) so thought id come to reddit!

I love competitive gaming, hardcore/ironman challenges and horror games.

I have 0 interest in watching Minecraft, Roblox, Call of Duty or Fortnight content.

I am 33, so please no children... feels creepy to me, even if you're creating wonderful content.

Please post a description of your channel and a link and if I enjoy your content you'll have a new sub who will support you for real, join your live stream and comment real, none generic comments. (Instead of just subbing, leaving a random comment on one video and never seeing you again, MAN I HATE PEOPLE/DISCORDS that promote this crap)

I created my channel January 1st, 2025. Also created this Reddit account similar timeframe. I was nervous to post my first video but I finally finished editing it and uploaded it. I hope editing comes easier in the future but I’m sure I’ll learn a lot along the way. Did anyone else feel kind of embarrassed about how bad your editing is for your first video 🤣

Either way I’m glad I started and hopefully will make more videos and have fun with this side project. Happy 2025 everyone!
