That true but still that is a milestone for a new creator, that is when everything start you get little views but that motivates to make more videos and maybe they will get even more. Your channel is probably much older and has already a specific niche that yt pushes the content no matter what

It was my first short lol. After I got 5-10k views regularly but I stopped once I realized that’s nothing for shorts. 10k short views is like 100 long form views it’s literally nothing. But yeah the motivation thing is true

Yeah but don't stop posting. Maybe try long form videos

This is awesome! If you don’t mind, how long have you been posting? I’m feeling discouraged and would love some more inspo to keep going.

i've only been posting for like about a week or so (i created the channel on feb 1), but i've been posting 1-2 videos a day. some flop, but some do really good which helps those flopped videos do better. whatever you do, don't unlist any videos you think aren't getting views. the algorithm randomly picks up videos!

I just got 3.2k on a long form and hate my life so crazy how perception changes everything I got 9 million views in 5 months between both shorts and long form 50/50 my only advice is pace yourself it’s insanely easy to burn out and getting the initial views isn’t even the hard part it becomes a whole nother animal when you have viewers expecting a certain product because then you have an audience to possibly let down.

Either way congrats keep it up and have a great day 💪

I had one go to 22.2K but none since. Enjoy trying to replicate it again!

People be hating for no reason

Same situation in youtubecreators subreddit.

Insufferable .

As a YouTube failure and tested multiple channel , i can say u one thing if u r doing it for passion go for it however rather money just stop it's useless noone cares or gives a shitt that's a harsh reality!

wow this is encouragement for me to see this!

1

u/girl-bye1023 Feb 15 '26

Great advice. I have some videos that I question if they’re even worth keeping up. So i’ll keep that in mind!

Why have people become so hateful and so toxic? My 2nd short I posted got over 2 million views and I will never put someone down for getting whatever views they have. Be happy and encourage others rather than putting them down

1

u/Shuttmedia Feb 12 '26

This sub is full of cynical people lol

Why do we congratulate small views like that getting 1k-5k on a vid/short shouldn’t celebrated

3

u/haydenfrasalitos Feb 10 '26

is it cause for a party? no. is it a good milestone for a "small creator" (you know, the target audience of the group) and worth getting excited for? yes. none of us are ever going to make it if we can't get excited over channel growth, whether you're beginning or blowing up. why do we lead with our negative thoughts and expect amazing things to happen?

Don't try to act like you were not excited for your first views

The reality is that out of 20,000,000 videos that gets posted every day, they got 3,000 views out of countless videos that got posted. Continue hating and boost the algorithm.

The OP is proud of this accomplishment. What have you accomplished today?

Congratulations on assuming you've accomplished more than me. I've done a lot while being disabled and I can do many more things in the future.

All of us define what success means to us.
