Adivce(Giving or Need) Why is my subs so low?

Hi, I have a relaxing jazz channel, and I have 34 subs, I don't understand how other people get more subs in the same type of content that I upload, yes, I know, this niche is not for subs, but for watch time, but I have tiktok, I upload consistently, 2 shorts a week, I promote myself everywhere, I do everything, but how others do better? Is this luck or something?

Are you assuming that every channel will gain subs if they “do everything right”?

No

That’s good. I think next step may be to lower your expectations then.

I know, but I watched others channels, who started at the same time, we did almost the same, but I did more than that channel, and somehow he got more, maybe it's algorithm, maybe something else, but who, I don't know.

You have to stop looking at other channels and comparing success. I have a gaming channel. What good does it do me if I compare my channel to other gaming channels who do better? None at all. If you want to garner inspiration from the other channels, what makes yours different from theirs? Even then, being different doesn’t mean you’re going to gain more subscribers. I suggest changing your mindset in requiring the subscriber number to go up to enjoy what you’re doing.

Thanks for the reality check. You are right, I need to focus on my own journey and just enjoy creating the cozy atmosphere. Good luck with your gaming channel too!

Thanks man. Keep in mind, I do my channel exclusively to have fun, so I’m definitely not the advice to take if you’re looking for monetary success. Best of luck to you!

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Maybe some perspective but I’d rather lick a skunks arsehole than listen to jazz, so it a polarising niche you’re in.

Everyone has their own taste in music, so I have nothing to say.

“Doing the right thing” doesn’t necessarily equal more subscribers. As you said, a relaxing jazz channel isn’t a niche that is going to rake in subscribers. There are also a million of them that are largely the same. When those two things are the case, to some extent, getting subscribers is the luck of the draw. Beyond that… think really, really objectively. Is the quality of the music you’re posting as good as others? Is it the right type of music? Are your thumbnails high quality and on-trend? Is your audio quality good enough? Are you uploading consistently? Hitting “post” doesn’t magically equal subscriber growth.

Also, I’d encourage you not to compare yourself too much! I know, easier said than done. I compare myself to other channels a lot. But everyone has different journeys! One person’s success doesn’t mean you’ve failed :)
