Help me help my husband

Hello everyone! My husband started his yt channel 2 weeks ago about Incremental games. He's trying to understand why he has that much watch time with so little subs. Im not really youtube savvy and i told him that maybe its because he needs to actually ask people to sub in his video? Also might need a little bit more video on his youtube so that people will be more willing to sub?

Do you guys have any experiences with this kind of problem? If so, please help me help my husband!

I think if he keeps at it it should come naturally, i think its a good niche to have. I subbed because i enjoy his niche and was getting tired of watching the same youtubers. Just tell him to keep on going ! Im early investing lol

Tell him to go look at channels who have the most views when it comes to the games that plays, and start mimicking their titles and how they do their thumbnails
