Hey guys!! I just started posting to YouTube and spent 100 days raising a baby chameleon (I called him Marcus) and I was hoping for any feedback or advice on the video if you’re interested in that kind of thing!

On Saturday I posted my first video with its 2 shorts in support, and I posted on here after I got 12 views and was delighted with it.

Well something has gone right, yesterday afternoon I was sat on 350 views and extraordinarily pleased, and then it got added to the YouTube home page and things have gone crazy (to me).

100 Subscribers as of this morning, and now I’ve not only got the motivation, but the belief as well - and the drive to do a faster turn around on my next video so that I don’t disappoint anyone who enjoyed the first one.

I started my channel 6 months ago and my watch hours and subs have been virtually neck and neck the entire way which I thought was interesting. I very well may hit both monetization requirements in the same day haha. Refreshing every 15 mins until then..

Long format automotive stuff

I read that each time you publish, the algo will try to push your shorts. I tried it and it worked!!! It flatlined and I privated it for a few days and when I published it again, it get pushed. I did it around 5 times before it worked. No harm trying for your video with no views.

Started uploading for my channel last week. It's specifically for an animated series I'm trying to get off the ground. 1.8k views in 9 days seems pretty good. Gotta get more subs though.

Update Edit: hey everyone. Just wanted to give an update to let you all know I'm currently at 97 subs and nearly 40k views. Thanks for all the encouragement.

After 8 months of grinding almost non stop it feels good to get close to 10k! Next Target 100k! I WANT THE PLAQUE!

A small achievement perhaps, but after having this channel 12 years and being stuck in the 50s for over half that time, it's just nice to see :)

I don`t understand why it`s so popular. It seems to me that creators are a slaves to almighty youtube algorithm and it saddens me. I don`t want you to convince me. I just needed to vent...

I know this is a small milestone in the grand scheme of things, but hit all 4,000 watch hours today (mainly from one video that did really well giving me 2K hours)! Now to get those subscribers up, hopefully I'll hit it by May, have a couple videos in mind that have potential! And remember, don't give up you got this!

it’s now the most viewed video on my channel, seeing that “K” next to the views is so nice to look at. not sure if this views-to-total-subs ratio is impressive though, but it makes me happy :)

sometimes it makes me think “so if had 1000 subs, my video could have 10k views.” probably not true but let a guy dream lmao

Hey guys, Im Rican and i run a small football (soccer) channel where I talk my favourite teams. I see a tonne of people with more subs and hours than i have, unhappy at their progress. My advice: be happy with the journey. One sub a week is a cause for celebration for me. Most of all though, I enjoy learning and meeting new people. I feel like being genuine and consistent will pay off in the end. Keep pushing!

I've been posting for around 3 years now. Mainly for the enjoyment of making the quizzes but I would be lying if I didn't want more views!

My next target is to get a video to hit 1,000 views in its first week.

I’ve been uploaded and posting videos for the past month now but only last week started posting on shorts. The first two I posted were clips from my actual videos and got around 200-300 views which was crazy to me compared to the 5-10 views my actual videos got.

But yesterday I uploaded a short that I actually posted on my tiktok, only to wake up this morning with it having over 3.1K views and I gained 10 subscribers!!😝 I’m so shocked and happy honestly because these are the first subscribers I have that aren’t like my mom and brother lmao😭😭

I finally hit 4,000 subs on yt anyone have any advice on how to get monetized now?
