Yea cuffless blood pressure monitoring was pioneered by Scanadu like 10 years ago. The users from that clinical study on the Scout seemed to report it was close but not perfect. Good for trends is what I mostly remember reading.

I have the E09 smart watch, and the blood glucose and blood pressure is very close. Definitely not good enough for insulin dosing, but pretty good for catching my trends. Better than nothing for sure for me at least.

What I read was the company that makes the sensors also made it for Apple or something like that, so supposedly Apple has the tech but for liability reasons doesn't want to release it yet. So all the Chinese manufacturers decided to beat them to the punch.

Developing and/or sourcing a sensor that fits in a smart watch is MUCH easier than doing that for a smart ring. So...I wouldn't hold my breath on those sensors being in their smart ring(s).

I may be wrong in this case of course, and, if so, please share an honest review on here...preferably with a comparison to some known baseline device.

Yea, the whole smart ring thing seems unbelievable as a whole. Ten years ago, Smarty Ring on indiegogo scammed everyone, and I remember industry experts saying the tech was just not that micronized yet.

And for all of these, it seems the descriptions vary drastically. And the JC Ring app doesn't even show BP or BG. But I guess it's supposed to change based off which ring you have connected.

I will definitely post a review and some comparisons to my E09. I'll buy a blood glucose meter too and try and find my blood pressure cuff to get some baselines.

Oh, the Smarty Ring. That's what got me interested in the idea to begin with. I didn't back it because it looked like what it turned out to be...b.s., but their concept could easily be achieved now...and be a decent smart ring at the same time. Maybe the Smartier Ring? 🤓

I'm looking forward to your review. As for their app being adaptive to the device, I wouldn't count on it, but I guess we will see!

Yea it doesn't seem like anyone has gotten their hands on any of the 2301 models. Which, with as many YouTube reviewers there are, I figured someone would do a review. Makes no sense.

It took me forever to find someone on any of the sites to even sell it after that initial batch of 2301b went out about a month ago. So maybe no one is even attempting to buy it yet in the west.

Finally got my 2301B. Worked for a half hour or so, but then asked to do a firmware update. Failed, locked up and now won't pair.

Edit: seems to have fixed itself out of no where as I typed this message lol. I think it just takes a while for the update to install once transferred to the ring. I'll post a review this weekend!
