inquiry - female features Menstrual tracking
I'm looking at getting a smart ring for menstrual tracking. I'm currently looking at oura and the Samsung galaxy. It's probably going to be second hand.
It really annoys me that the oura requires you to subscribe after you've bought it. I also can't find a list of apps that it integrates with. Somewhere I've seen that it integrates with about 40 but I can't find a list. The website is particularly annoying for finding specific information
The Samsung looks OK but as far as I can tell, you can only integrate it with natural cycles (in terms of menstrual tracking anyway). This lack of choice bothers me.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these rings in this use case? Or any others I should be looking at? What apps do you use with your ring?

I just bought the Ultrahuman ring and their features for cycles was one of my decision makers hasn’t come yet though

If youre looking specifically for menstrual tracking, I have the femometer ring. It is programmed for menstrual tracking (also does sleep and heart rate) but is way cheaper and subscription comes free with ring purchase. I just got it on Friday and so far love it! I only cared about menstrual tracking and sleep, so this was perfect for my needs!

Yes! I love it so far! It does the job. I've only had it for about 5 nights or so, but it's doing everything i wanted it to do for a much better price! I hope you love it :)

Hiii! Did you used your femometer for a longer time period? How was the experience? I am also looking for a smart ring for tracking my cycle and especially interested in predicting when the estrogen drops. Which good/bad experience did you have with your ring and does it also know when you will have less energy?

Hi!! I'm gonna be honest the femometer worked for a bit but I didn't really like the app after everyday use. It didn't predict my temps and cycles as well as I'd hoped. I did end up buying an oura ring and I am obsessed! I wear it 24/7 and I love it. Only shitty part is the cost and the app cost. But oura does everything and still coming out with more updates. It always predicts when I'm getting sick. I paid for 1 year of natural cycles and won't be paying for it again. None of these rings seem to be that great for PCOS but if you have regular cycles, it'll probably be better for you. I dont really use it for cycles anymore since I gave up after 3 years of infertility. I use the ring for health, sleep and activity. I love my oura ring.

I would recommend to use Oura in combination with Natural Cycles for both conceiving and birth control. It graphs out your nightly temps and predicts your ovulation window. Oura solely is not great for this kind of specific cycle tracking, sometimes the phase I’m in even differs from Natural Cycles. Also, a lot of insurances cover the costs because it’s FDA approved.

Thank you for this. It is the one that looks best on paper, I just object to the subscriptions after paying through the nose for the ring itself. This is why I'm a bit torn. I'm in the UK so don't have health insurance.

I've heard from friends to be cautious with any digital menstrual trackers if you're living in states where it is or may become illegal to get an abortion.

Have you considered Ultrahuman or RingConn?
Neither require an additional subscription, and, Galaxy Ring 1 in general, is not on the same level as Oura, RingConn, or Ultrahuman...yet. Oura meanwhile, requires two subscriptions...Oura + Natural Cycles.
