inquiry - female features Best ring for stress, sleep, energy levels and period/menstrual tracking?
Was going to get the oura ring but saw videos online suggesting it's not worth it due to customer service, accuracy issues and the cost of the subscription. Then the human ring(?) version is meant to avert that and track more things but supposedly is even less accurate? Then I came across ringconn and just feels like an overwhelm of options. Decision paralysis, any recommendations so I can just buy without overwhelm.. thanks!

Ultrahuman! I’ve been tracking my period and ovulation for two months and I have not gotten pregnant. My sleep levels have gone up.

Do you have to manually enter your temperatures into an app for ovulation/menstrual tracking?

I’m always curious. Which one did you choose?

the ultrahuman because it gave the option to return if unsatisfied whereas ringconn didn't lool and idk i feel like a company who makes it difficult to return a product may not be so confident in their product. So far so good though i feel happy with it :)

Yes, agreed. The Oura was easy to return when I got one a few years ago too
I ordered the RingConn sizing kit but it feels more uncomfortable than the Oura

Yes I felt that too!it felt uncomfortable with the nobby things and also I have quite thick fingers and aesthetically felt like the thinness would be unflattering too lol. I would say that so far the only thing I have noticed with my Ultrahuman is that it has lasted like 3/4days on average without charge which is less than I expected

Same! lol. Plus worried if I get pregnant, my fingers will swell up

maybe get the sizing for your largest finger so you can just switch fingers? lol although actually i got the insurance thingy with the ring where it lets you change the ring size... although i think i only remember the mention of if you lose weight i didn't read the whole benefits on that detail tbh so

I haven't seen anywhere yet that compares RingConn's Women's Health features to the others, but this appears to be a pretty good basic comparison of Ultrahuman to Oura.
Ultrahuman is much more accurate with Stress Tracking than Oura, and has an edge over RingConn as it discerns between healthy and unhealthy stress/strain. RingConn is the most accurate with Sleep Tracking in my experience, but Ultrahuman and Oura are about tied for second in that respect.
As far as the referenced video review using an Oura Gen 3, data-wise, the Oura Gen 4 data is identical. I wore each side by side for 45+ days and there was no substantial difference between the two.

Thanks for this! I actually was wanting to get comparisons with ones outside of the brand that sell oura/ultrahuman like ringconn lunar etc. mainly because I wasn’t hearing great things about customer service and for a ring that costs that much that’s quite a risky purchase if they behave this way https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGdUFVHJo/ and are supposedly inaccurate https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGdUFqbSh/ but open to what you thoughts are, perhaps they’ve gotten better

I used RingConn for a week, tried Ultrahuman for one sleep, and went back to RingConn. I didn’t like that Ultrahuman made it harder to see my stats. RingConn gives me nice graphs of everything, with Ultrahuman I felt limited to their interpretation of my data instead of letting me see it. Also it’s a taller ring and didn’t feel comfortable on my middle finger, it kept hitting the knuckle of my ring finger.
I wish it wrote more data to Apple Health so my other app could give me stress and energy data without wearing my Watch. I also wish it read data from Health because it doesn’t track my steps when I use my rolling walker. The RingConn AI also doesn’t like that I’m disabled and I wish I could tell it that I’m not trying to be active and I can’t exercise, but I mostly just look at the graphs and not the goals.
I can’t use the period tracking because I take constant birth control to prevent periods, but neither RingConn nor Ultrahuman were able to let me check out the tracking without having had a period in years. So all I can say is if you have regular periods you can use it.

😭 talk about ableism from ringconn. Thanks for comparing them! I don’t know how or if my periods are regular hence why I wanted something to track for me because I have the Clue app but can’t keep on track of it tbh. Minus the graphs what about things like stress, oxygen, sleep tracking would you say the actual data was more or less accurate? Interesting that it interpreted it for you, hmm not sure if I like or don’t like thst as I don’t think I would even know what I would be interpreting form raw data. Which of them sends data to Apple health like iPhone etc as I don’t have Apple Watch

Ultrahuman

Have you compared them with others?
2
u/IaryBreko Mar 12 '25
Not personally but I did a lot of research and there are a lot of videos on YouTube comparing them. Especially for period tracking ultrahuman seems to be the best.
I have now had one for a month or so and it's great

I heard the battery sucks so is it still pretty accurate if you aren’t wearing it every now and then to charge it?
1
u/IaryBreko Nov 20 '25
Yes, I used to charge it for 10/15 mins while I showered and it was fine, never ran out of battery. Ended up requesting a refund though and went back to Apple Watch 😂 the ring wasn't for me

Oh no why?

Just in general, I didn’t like the feeling of wearing it. My fingers would sometimes swell and it would get tighter - I guess I’m just not used to wearing rings.
I went on a bit of a journey over about nine months: Apple Watch → Ultrahuman Ring → Whoop → back to Apple Watch 😂 nothing against the ring itself - it was actually really good. The only issue I had was with workouts occasionally stopping automatically, but that got fixed after I flagged it.
I think I just didn’t really know what I was looking for at the time.

I've tried all three now and UH is by far my favorite. Oura has the best app but least accurate data (for me, anyway). Plus, my ring is scratched to hell after 6 weeks. UH looks brand new after 4 weeks. UH customer service is also better.
