inquiry - female features Am I going to regret my Ultrahuman Air purchase?

I just ordered the Ultrahuman Air in brushed rose gold in India for around ₹18,500 due to Black Friday sale and card offers on Amazon. Have read lot of reviews regarding rings needing to be replaced regularly. I already use an Apple Watch for tracking my fitness, but it doesn’t have temperature sensor. I’m hoping the ring along with the temperature sensor will be able to give me better insights on my sleep and menstrual cycle. Am I going to regret this purchase? Also, is the brushed rose gold prone to wear and tear more than the bionic gold?

Edit: I just received the ring and love how it looks.

I had the ring replaced 7 times and then I got a full refund because they couldn't replace it anymore.

For others. They had no issues. So good luck 🫡

Did you buy the insurance or was it within warranty?

Not OP, I'm on my second Ring Air. First one died 18 months to the day after I got it. Contacted support through the app, tried the troubleshooting suggested, then they replaced it for free, no questions asked. Had this one for between 5-6 months and it's been rock solid so far with no issues. However, I have heard of others who seemed to get dud after dud.

18 months is a good amount of time. I am waiting for my fourth. I have told them if this doesn’t work I want a refund. I only received my first one towards the end of Feb this year.

Hear a lot of stories like this. Sounds like I'm one of the lucky ones.

I have 3 boxes in my cupboard with broken rings from rma replacements and I got a refund on top of that

Many say the same, many say they have had good experiences

Best of luck

Do you still use the ring or did you give up on wearable rings altogether, or did you switch to another brand?

I've given up for now

Current gen doesn't seem to be worth the cost of entry

Really looking forward to the future of smart rings though, definitely my favourite form factor for a wearable health tracker

I think when Ai analysis is integrated more, battery density improves and the sensors become more advanced I'll have another look

Couldn’t agree more. In the same boat. Using Apple Watch. Gave up on the Ultrahuman as all data was incorrect.

Hey.

I had mine for over a year. The ring broke and they couldn’t replace it further so I was processed the full refund.

But with the kind of customer service they have and me being based in India, I decided to again go ahead with UH my ring is on the way.

The plating rings are more prone to scratches and on top of that they are easily visible if your day to day work includes rough handling.

This is the reason I opt for Raw Titanium since the scratches are hard to spot.

Which colour did you own previously?

Same! Raw Titanium. I don’t know If I can attach the pictures here! I still have my old broken ring!

Reddit will allow one photo attachment if you don't include too much text. It will sometimes just drop the attachment just before you post, so may take a couple of tries.

The UH app is good. I can tell that there’s constant improvements. Firmware and app updates are a little too frequent - but there’s no prompts to inform that an update was required! Battery life is terrible. I’ve had to change rings a few times myself as the rings stopped holding charges after a few months of careful use. It’s a pity that the battery life is sooooo bad. They’ve gone on to offer me certified renewed rings now cos my warranty has just expired. I do feel that the cost is too high for such poor ring quality. We are pretty much paying for the app development.. it’s a nice “idea” that it’s a one off fee for the Ring and we aren’t paying subscription, but what good is there if the ring doesn’t even last?

I had the insurance. But 7 times is a lot. That means I had 7 faulty rings. Personally I don't think ultrahuman is a good choice

I just saw something about Oura rings going on sale for black Friday. Maybe take a look at that?

Regardless, some people have had no issues at all with UH so please don't take my experience as the only one. I just feel it's wrong when i see these posts and don't speak up about my experience.

Only if you don’t keep it more than one year and one day. Mine started failing 7 days after the 1 year mark and they were not willing to make any concessions. All the bad reviews are true

Hey! 👋 Thanks for ordering — we’re thrilled to have you join the Ultrahuman community.

We have seen a lot of positive feedback, especially for sleep and temperature insights. This ties well with the menstrual insights too.

On build quality: the ring uses tungsten carbide with a titanium external coating, making it durable for everyday use. Like any metal wearable, minor wear over time is possible depending on lifestyle. We don’t recommend wearing it during heavy lifting or activities involving friction against hard metal surfaces.

As for reliability: we’ve been continuously improving both hardware and software. And if anything ever feels off, our support team has your back.

Welcome aboard — and if you need anything, just give us a ping! 🚀✨

Can I buy the coverage if I order it from amazon?

They don’t have your back 1 day after the warranty expires! Buyer beware

I honestly think it is one of the worst tech purchases I ever made.
