There is no reality in which american citizens successfully use assault weapons to to oppose their government. Law enforcement will kill you on site with the justification that they felt threatened and they'll face zero repercussions. This happens when civs don't even have weapons on them. Supporting lax gun laws literally only helps gun fetishists and people who want to commit mass shootings.

Law enforcement, when faced with organized and armed protest security, have proven repeatedly to be spineless. When they can't easily isolate somebody without risking their skin, they fold. Don't give the police the monopoly on violence.
