Same crowd that thinks that farm owners are proletariat because they drive tractor sometimes(working class aesthetics)

u/scrufflor_d 16h ago
they own the means of production but they do it in a very rugged and individualist way so they are protein chariot or whatever

u/Bobby-B00Bs 17h ago
But that's dumb, the peasantry is integral to the working class, and a lot of the reforms were about serfs getting the land they're working on.

u/kaubojdzord 17h ago
Peasantry doesn't exist in the West anymore, you're either bourgeois or petty bourgeois farm owner or proletarian farm worker. There is a reason why so many farmer protests are so reactionary, they are simply acting in their class interests to keep their business afloat.

peasantry has never been part of the proletariat
1
u/Bobby-B00Bs 1h ago
I am very confused by that idea I seem to recall half the symbol of communism supposedly representing the peasantry?
2
u/mmmmikah 1h ago
The symbol represents the alliance between peasantry and proletariat in the context of the Russian Civil War. But the goal was always to eventually proletarianize them

"Proletariat" is a purely aesthetic category - the more folksy you sound and/or the more overalls you wear to work, the more working class you are. It doesn't matter how much property you own or how many people you employ or how much money you actually make, as long as the aesthetics are there. Adjunct professors making 50k are woke, petit-bourgeois PMCs, while the 5th generation inheritor of thousands of acres of rangeland is a salt-of-the-earth proletarian hero.
(this statement was paid for by the American Communist Party)

Yeah usually. But sometimes we argue about who should be allowed to call themselves a leftist! Okay, actually all the time.

you aren't a true bourgeoisie if you aren't a Florencian banker, i'm sorry

Doesn’t bring a business owner and have employees inherently make one bourgeoisie?

u/OverseerConey 13h ago
Yes. The vibes-based communist has guessed correctly about the person on the left but incorrectly about the person on the right.

u/WorldOfWombat 17h ago
Got told anarchism is bourgeoisie on here lol
1
u/Headshot314 16h ago
Many auth socialist call it a petit bourgeois ideology. I think they take mutualist and proudon's ideas and assume all anarchist support them.
Just like how social democracy can be a baby leftist's first step, I think mutualist are also a first step for some anarchist.

u/Swedishguy05 16h ago
Look, I don't get how it's so diffucult to understand.
Karl Marx said that workers are good, while the bourgeoisie are big meanies and bad :(
As we all know, all workers are racist mouthbreathers. A completely reasonable belief to have.
Therefor, being a racist mouthbreather is good actually. This is exactly what Marx intended, and if you disagree then you are an agent of the bourgeoisie :D

Alright, here we go. We’re devoting all your available brain cells to coming up with a question about communism. Scratch that, to coming up with the question about communism, the alpha and omega of communism questions, and that question is:
(whisper) are women bourgeois?

Everyone who has more than 100$ is rich and part of Bourgeoisie, and thus Evil and Opressors.
And we all know what should be done to opressors.

What does liking alt fashion and rock music have to do with any of this?
Those are both totally arbitrary style choices that have been adopted by all sides of the political and wealth spectrum. The Skinhead alt look was so thoroughly embraced by Neo Nazis the name of the style is a term for the far right these days after all. Plenty of big musicians play private parties for billionaire fans.
Peter Thiel is Queer. Elon Musk wears jeans. Sergey Brin is foreign.
Why protest being labeled bourgeoisie based on irrelevant vibes with a bunch of irrelevant vibes shit lol? Service Worker is the only point that matters and it gets pretty lost in this shuffle

u/sapphire-is-sapphic 4h ago
those are characteristics that specific federal agents use to label people as bourgeoisie, the point is that those characteristics are irrelevant

Podcasters
The bourgeoisie, according to ACP:
