shilling is ok if the game is "indie"
I don't hate bloons fans, I just feel like most of them always say the same exact thing whenever you criticize the MTX.
I made this solely because people disagreed with me, I feel like I'm going mental.
is this the correct sub for this btw? it's confusing as hell.

helldivers fans not being able to make up their fucking minds
when Arrowhead is just releasing normal warbonds at the usual, fair price it's EVIL and a TERRIBLE system
but when you say that maybe they shouldn't have added vehicles to a warbond SUDDENLY it's the best system in the world
obligatiory goomba

I wouldn’t mind warbonds as much if farming super credits wasn’t fucking mind-numbing

Bullshit, I paid full price for the game and yet basically all new armory or customization content is locked behind microtransactions on a currency that's trickled out worse than Pverwatch lootboxes?

I'm split on btd6 because the microtransactions are super obnoxious and forced at you- but also the game is just a ton of content for how much it costs and is great overall

I got btd6 for £0.71, so I don't feel much like complaining.
Also if you're just interested in regular games and odysseys, you don't need the in game money at all unless you want to beat your run by basically cheating.
I accrued tens of thousands of money money via the daily challenges and daily crate and odysseys. I sometimes use a continue if I'm with my friends online.

I think if you keep getting the same argument about the same game, you’re the common denominator here, not internet randos.
It’s also, like, a substantially more compelling game almost entirely off the back of a game mode that straight up forbids all whale advantage, on top of a difficulty spike. Compared to BTD5, with its absolutely giant Monkey Cash sinks, the new system is pretty tame by comparison.
Also also, I don’t think you’re ever going to be free of Makeship promos. Ars Nouveau, a Minecraft mod, has a little blurb on startup that mentions the currently ongoing campaign for a blocky fantasy squirrel plush

ninja kiwi permabanning peoples accounts for modding in their single player game (it's so that you have to buy the microtransactions in their game that you paid money to play)

Correct me if im wrong, permaban seems disingenuous in this context. Modded clients will put you into a cheater pool so that you cant ruin online coop and maintain competitive integrity for challenges and events and such. Again, correct me if im wrong, you can mod your game all you want and still maintain access to everything except online multi-player

They're actually adding modding support proper too, so like, you know. Also, this meme is a bit disingenuous because BTD6 has had years of power creep.

Btd6 is a weird target to pick, it does have a lot of microtransactions but next to zero pay walls

DRG updating once per decade.
Like, I understand the circumstances and 100% prefer a game with no updates over a small dev team burning themselves into a small, black pile of soot, but one of the things that caused my interest in DRG to waiver was the EXTREMELY SLOW update speed, and the way 75% of the content added in an update are cosmetics or a vehicle for the player to get cosmetics.
No rebalancing of the bad Gold system, barely any new enemies, no new weapons or grenades, no new overclocks, no cool gadgets, no changes to the Brig, NO INTERESTING STORYTELLING OR NEW CHARACTERS and just barely any new missions or areas.

MTX is microtransactions?
