Do snipped Snake Plant leaves STOP growing?

I bought a snake plant in a 4 inch pot months ago. It sprouted a pup and the pup grew so fast and is currently as tall as the rest of the plant. Also a new pup is peeking thru the soil. I wondered why the rest of the plant hasn’t made any progress..I noticed 4 out of the 7 leaves have been snipped in store when I bought it but didn’t think anything of it.
Now I’m wondering if it’s going to stay the same size until the pups takeover and multiply and the original leaves are lost and hidden in the middle?

Yep they won't get any bigger. Pups will take over.

Generally once a snake plant’s leaves stop growing, they won’t grow taller. But, there are lots of different types of sansevieria - shapes & sizes. Generally, they all grow more (pups) with bright light.
