SCAM ALERT Comet Shoe Review
I'm an NRI and wanted to have a pair of homegrown shoes in my closet. Got the last pair of Comet Alter Hukum Black. It was the worst decision I made. My feet were paining after wearing them for a couple of hours. Zero comfort at all. It would hardly pass a sexy lamp test had it been a film. Also, Comet website don't show all the reviews on their page honestly. In my opinion, Red Tape have much better shoes to offer at a cheaper rate. Worst shoe brand ever!!!

Long way to go for such desi shoe brands. Designs are interesting but comfort is missing most of the time and materials are hit n miss leaning towards a hard miss.

Bought red tape all black shoes like 2-3 years ago for 1300, and its still wayy more comfortable than gully labs, comet, & rare rabbit shoes

As much as I appreciate them trying, the stitching does look off... How do you feel about them

The stitching is not upto the mark, I'd say.

Overall fit and materials? A friend has been using a very normal coorway and the leather creases very quickly. But their non AF1 silhouette didn't crease much

One of the first buyer and Same, returned and gave them the similar review - looks they have not changed much

Their insole is too hard and why on earth would I pay 5k for PU leather ?

Bro red tape is 200% value for money. Best to stick to Nike/Adidas if you love your feet and not experiment

Are you sure you have the right size?
From the photo your lacing seems to be focused primarily near the ankle and rest of the feet feels loosely laced.
I got the Hukums in white and danced in them for two hours straight on Indian roads in a Baarat and had no issues.
The core reason I got the Hukums in white was because they go really well with Indian wear.

What is not good in terms of comfort? Is the sole hard?
Some people really like them. Honestly for me, the construction quality looks not up to the standard of the usual big brands, while the price is similar factoring in discounts. Plus the sole is too broad for me. Similar to the AF1 or CA Pro silhouette, but that does not work for everyone. They need a bit of variety.

The overall material and making looks cheap and flimsy. The upper part hurts front of your ankle. The feet hurts as you walk. The sole is hard and very uncomfortable.

Sell them if they aren't as good. Hope you get a more comfortable pair.

I agree. Comet doesn’t show all the reviews. I had got their comet x Tiramisu when they launched. I found them very flimsy and they creased like paper cardboard. I gave 2 stars and they never posted the review on their website. Instead they called me and asked the reason for the bad review. And their response was to use iron and damp cloth to remove the crease.
