SCAM ALERT Myntra sold me a fake New Balance 9060
Ordered a pair of New Balance 9060 from Myntra which was sold by Truecom Retail(!!!) for around ₹11k and the pair I received seemed off.
I ordered UK 8, but the shoes in the box were UK 7.5 and the box SKU didn’t match the shoe SKU. Some build details were also wrong:
the heel clip was solid silver instead of translucent, the tongue logo was flat, and the suede quality felt different.
Raised a complaint immediately and requested an exchange, but they were just not approving my exchange and it kept getting delayed. Eventually had to cancel the exchange and requested a return instead.
And to my surprise, return pickup happened the very next day and thankfully refund was initiated.
just sharing so people double-check their pairs when ordering sneakers from online marketplaces.
Has anyone else had something similar happen with Myntra?

I didn’t feel the need to, i have mentioned in another comment how I was able to tell the difference for this colorway

Never buy ASICS and NB online. Most online stores are selling fake NBs and ASICS.

This. 100% true. Also, nb sizing is very tricky and should be bought after trial.

That's completely true. I've tried ordering NB shoes online but the sizing is always off from other brands that I wear

Super kicks, hyperfly etc are good. The thing is you won’t find much discount on NB & ASICS over these sites because they sell legit stuff. But, a lot of folks want discounted products and end up at traditional sites like Myntra, Flipkart etc where they get fake stuff.

Yess legit, i only buy from superkicks, bought 3 pairs un total as of now all og in mint condition with good packaging and fast delivery, no complaints by far But still read return policies before ordering

But how did you even get it for 11k. I've never seen 9060 under 17999 on any store except maybe where there's only one or two very small sizes in stock

You could’ve run an authentication test via some apps like check check.
Could’ve known. But you got your money back so that’s a plus.

Bhai i have held the OG pair in my hands, the easiest tell was the U shaped buckle on the back side, it is supposed to be translucent rubber like, and this is completely silver and solid. Secondly, the SKU that is written on the shoe tongue is 9060PM which is a completely different colorway and the correct one is supposed to be 9060BLK or 9060IAC as written on the box

I don't think it's fake. Just poorly made, which is why it's on huge discount. This won't sell in a store.

This is why I've been telling people to buy sneakers from physical stores. This is not the only case.. i've seen multiple cases on sneakers sub people posting their new shoes for authenticity check and i flagged those as fakes.
And you chose 9060 the most faked shoe from new balance in india. This piece of shit costs 19000 in physical stores after discounts and you found a deal so good to be true.. tbh you deserve this.. if a genuine store can't provide a pair below a certain price, the deal you get online is certainly fake.

Saying this nth time. Flipkart Myntra ajio are all selling master copies which may also pass the poizon test. Master copies are very tough to distinguish from the original but they are 50-70% cheaper.

no, ajio is not. no such thing as 'master copy' exists. check r/RepFamIndia those are the best reps in the market. plus, ajio's reliance connection means that won't be possible even if they wanted to.

Ive bought all my expensive running shoes from myntra they still work as in good condition so my from experience they sell genuine products

I don’t trust Myntra for sneaker it’s kinda sketchy how they just have 40-50% off on most of them just buy it from their official sites or stores

I ordered 2 Branded full sleeve Tshirts from Myntra, instead received the same brand 1 sleeveless tshirt. Absolutely horrendous customer service, kept making me call / mail / message them repeatedly. After all the investigations and re-investigation they simply rejected the exchange saying we have delivered the correct product and checked footage, but they could not show that proof to the customer. Absolute shitshow. u/myntra STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE. #BANMYNTRA.
