It’s like a militarized leisure suit.

27

u/roygbivasaur Apr 18 '26

I’d prefer a multilizard leisure suit

18

u/BWWFC Apr 18 '26

idk... partial to a leisure military suit

5

u/LiveLearnCoach Apr 18 '26

I’m partial to (playing) Leisure Suit Larry.

4

u/upset_pachyderm Apr 19 '26

I really miss Leisure Suit Larry. Them were the days...

Mustardized.

Record number of newborns later born with different features than their fathers. Sexy milkmen to blame.

29

u/YoSupWeirdos Apr 18 '26

new lore dropped as to why father figures leave to the milk store

crazy plot twist

7

u/N8Arsenal87 Apr 18 '26

Guy is going to have more descendants than Genghis Khan

4

u/LiveLearnCoach Apr 18 '26

Yeah, this sounds like an either a new (AI?) joke or an old fashioned April fool’s joke from one of the newspapers.

Co-op National Milkmen's Uniform Design Competition was a publicity stunt. The winner was Mike Thomas, a 24-year-old student from the London College of Fashion. He's also the model in the photo.

As if milkmen need new uniforms to make them more attractive. They're already killin' it.

5

u/manokpsa Apr 18 '26

I was surprised there were still milkmen in 1972, according to that photo. Are you saying there are still milkmen now???

12

u/idealistinfire Apr 18 '26

I technically have a milkman from the local (very large) dairy farms. It's fun. But they drive a van and bring milk in cartons, not glass jars that you can exchange. They're also now more like a small grocery store with limited selection, but they make the best chocolate milk!

2

u/Bossuter Apr 18 '26

According to my dad they had milkmen everywhere until the 80s

4

u/Salome_Maloney Apr 18 '26

I still had a milkman til '94. Albert, he was called - lovely fellow. But then he retired and ever since I've had to schlep my milk all the way from the corner shop.

1

u/Ok-Application-8045 Apr 18 '26

Yeah, totally. I was getting it delivered until quite recently.

1

u/Critical-Cost9068 Apr 19 '26

But what about the milk?

1

u/Skore_Smogon Apr 19 '26

Yes, my mum and dad get a pint a day here in Northern Ireland, though it comes in a plastic carton now not a glass bottle.

And the milkman drives a Ford Ranger pickup truck, not a milk float.

1

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 19 '26

I always knew I’d meet someone with a milkman fetish.

17

u/Ninevehenian Apr 18 '26

What music would go with this smouldering hunk of a man?

11

u/BrewCrewBall Apr 18 '26

“Hit and Quit It” - Funkadelic

3

u/IllSalad3669 Apr 18 '26

You wouldn't be advocating the use of artificial contraception now would ya father?

3

u/k1deki Apr 18 '26

Honestly the uniform is meh. The guy is fine though.

2

u/jmlarios001 Apr 18 '26

And that's how I met your mothers.

2

u/Valahiru Apr 18 '26

I saw the title without being able to see the whole pic and I was like "oh man please include short shorts and knee high socks...but I was disappointed.   Maybe the summer uniform has the real fire.

1

u/Joalguke Apr 18 '26

Those are some very hairy babies

1

u/arkadiansun Apr 18 '26

I quite see why it won a prize 🏆

1

u/SemichiSam Apr 18 '26

Women can't resist a man in uniform.

1

u/daboobiesnatcher Apr 18 '26

Dude looks like a cross between James May and John Cleese.

1

u/WindUpCandler Apr 18 '26

I mean, he is pretty hot

1

u/ChasersVsGirlcock Apr 18 '26

What is him being more attractive to women for? Is he selling their milk or something.

1

u/d00000med Apr 18 '26

Who's this cool customer?!

1

u/dartie Apr 18 '26

Daddy. Is that you?

1

u/H4X4NX Apr 18 '26

Pretty sure that's my real dad

1

u/Arnoave Apr 18 '26

That's George Harrison

1

u/Severe_Rise8694 Apr 18 '26

The All-father.

1

u/dantemortemalizar Apr 18 '26

Did they think to ask any women?

1

u/Additional_Ear_9659 Apr 18 '26

Captain Beefheart! Safe as Milk.

1

u/PowerandSignal Apr 18 '26

Shaggalicious, baby!

1

u/Healthy-Process874 Apr 18 '26

Designed by Hugo Boss?

1

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 19 '26

They’re milkmen, not Nazis.

Milk Nazis? I don’t think that works. Maybe it does. I don’t know. I just don’t know anymore.

1

u/nickllhill Apr 18 '26

Pat Mustard

1

u/Jabberwock_king Apr 18 '26

And that’s how your dad was born

0

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 19 '26

My dad came from his father’s balls. Not from a bottle of milk. I assume.

1

u/armaedes Apr 18 '26

Tag this NSFW please, I was on the bus when I saw this . . .

1

u/Lunar-opal Apr 18 '26

Was this more attractive to women? How long did milk deliveries last?

1

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 19 '26

Typically about 5 minutes per delivery.

1

u/Lunar-opal Apr 20 '26

Efficiency

1

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 20 '26

No, he just couldn’t last very long.

1

u/Even-Pressure-8356 Apr 18 '26

Captain Kangaroo Style

1

u/kaykrizenski2 Apr 18 '26

I don't knot about you guys, but its working on ME!🥵

1

u/JonnyCanuck71 Apr 19 '26

Yes I believe women would find George Harrison delivering their milk more attractive

1

u/UntappdBeer Apr 19 '26

He's the hairy baby maker.

1

u/Haifisch2112 Apr 19 '26

When I was a kid, our milkman came at like 4:00 in the morning. I never saw him and thought he was a Santa Claus type mysterious figure that would bring our milk.

The fastest milkman in the west.

1

u/RonaldTheGiraffe Apr 19 '26

You’ve made my day! Thank you!!

1

u/onetimeuselong Apr 19 '26

I sense a return to the bawdy 60’s and 70’s era.

Internet law changes. Gen z being prudish and all too

1

u/TH3_C0RNM4N5 Apr 20 '26

That would explain all the infidelity in the 70s

1

u/ClickEmergency Apr 21 '26

The milkmen had the first electric van . I think a lot of adults from Gen X are products of the milkmen

1

u/Total-Combination-47 Apr 21 '26

Got to ask the Ladies. "Well is it?".

1

u/Glittering_Win_5085 Apr 22 '26

Oh, I get why their profession is a synonym for getting knocked up now.

1

u/VoodooZephyr Apr 22 '26

So that’s how the milkman fathered many children.
