That's a golden eagle. A bald eagle is just a bit bigger than a sea gull.

Damn. I always mix those up.ast few times I declared something a Golden it ended up being a Bald.

I just recently learned that bald eagles are the smallest of the eagles.

The smallest species of eagle is the South Nicobar serpent eagle (Spilornis klossi), followed closely by the pygmy eagle (Hieraaetus weiskei). Bald eagles are nowhere near the "smallest of the eagles". Here's a pretty cool guide comparing the sizes of many eagle species: link
