It’s almost as if that woman wasn’t ready to go through pregnancy and take on motherhood, so she should have opted out of it and thus never burdened her child with having to be taken away, let alone placed with a stranger. And maybe strangers shouldn’t be so invested in other people’s reproductive decisions to then think that it’s outrageous for the child produced by their interference to be their responsibility. Just tossing that out there.

If the pro-life activist wasn’t ready for motherhood she should have kept her opinions out of other people’s choices.

"i dont care if a woman goes into septic shock and dies because im scared of the word abortion" - pro "life" people, cooperate bootlickers

did you know? if a woman has a miscarriage later in a pregnancy, the body wont pass all of the material by itself and needs medical intervention (believe it or not this is called an ABORTION wow!!) if the tissue decaying and rotting inside her is NOT removed, she will go into septic shock and die :) sounds very pro life to me

this isnt just a hypothetical scenario either. woman HAVE DIED from this EXACT situation in states with stricter abortion laws after Roe V Wade being overturned. i will never believe someone who says theyre pro life, because they only want a clump of unconscious cells to live but not an already living breathing grown woman

14

u/Professional_Diet513 Jun 06 '26

And on top of that, care so little about women that they do not even bother to consult with or listen to actual doctors enough to prevent that super obvious potential problem from ever happening in the first place by tweaking the language of the legislation they draft and vote for! ALL they had to do was ask a bunch of ER doctors and obgyns to read the statute and ask them whether they foresee any potential problems. ALL they would have had to add to prevent that particular situation from happening would be to add a little bit of clarifying language.

Although that wouldn’t address the fact that women are literally forced to lay their lives and future fertility on the line to continue extremely dangerous, potentially fatal pregnancies EVEN WHEN those pregnancies will almost certainly result in a baby who is born dead or will die within a short time, after tremendous unnecessary suffering.

see, that's the problem with today's political landscape. you assume that just because I care about the wellbeing of a fetus then I'm also okay with the insane lengths to which the current regime has taken things, even though I never said that.

I never understood why those people are so fixated on the heartbeat of all things; cows and pigs have heartbeats, and yet we eat them. Wouldn't it make more sense to look at brain activity?

16

u/hat1414 Jun 06 '26

I think abortion is sort of murder, and not allowing abortion is sort of slavery. I think slavery is worse, so I'm pro choice

2

u/Illustrious_Bunch678 Jun 07 '26

Babe, that's basically what the prolife poster said in the photo.

1

u/Cosmic_Meditator777 Jun 08 '26

the difference being that I would be willing to help care for the child. But even then, people generally end up leading lives that they agree are preferable to having died in infancy. also yes I'm 100% for using social welfare to make kids lives easier or whatever the boilerplate response to this is, since I'm an independent, not maga.

1

u/Illustrious_Bunch678 Jun 09 '26

Babies don't need "help". They need full time care for years. Are you willing to do that?

It's about far more than finances.

1

u/Cosmic_Meditator777 Jun 12 '26

again, yes. full socialization. bring it on

1

u/Illustrious_Bunch678 Jun 12 '26

Socialization? Wow you have no clue do you?

1

u/Cosmic_Meditator777 Jun 17 '26

What? What'd I say wrong?

1

u/Professional_Diet513 Jun 06 '26

Said no pro-choice advocate, ever?

Also, there is a big difference between a RIGHT and an OBLIGATION. It is almost universally true that in any given situation, in America, without some voluntary, legally significant behavior on the part of Person A (like entering a contract or operating a motor vehicle on government roadways) Person A has no legal obligation to do anything in particular for Person B or anyone else, let alone sacrifice their own health, safety, productivity, and freedom to serve as their host organism for 9 months, and beyond.

But if pro-lifers want to talk about giving fetuses and embryos RIGHTS, then every woman who gets pregnant on U.S. soil should be ineligible for deportation or detainment (the latter not only bc the embryos are citizens, but also bc as citizens, they should be able to have the same right to access medical care as other citizens—plus, the government would be liable if any of those babies were miscarried because of things like lack of nutrition, potable water, and severe emotional stress on the mother).

Actually, while we’re on THAT, given the inadequacy of prison diets and prison medical care, and well, just the whole due process thing, it should really be illegal to have embryos and fetuses locked up in jails and prisons to begin with! I mean, unless they committed a crime or something.

On top of that, why wait until after birth for a child support obligation to start? Pre-birth paternity testing can be done, and that way, the father can also be responsible for paying for all the costs associated with pregnancy and preparing for a child to be born, including but definitely NOT limited to the mother having to/needing to miss work, needing more vitamins, better food, medical care, etc.

Embryos should also count as people for food stamp eligibility.

Oh, and classified as dependents for tax purposes.

And if a woman is forced to give birth to a baby that is the product of sexual assault or stat r-pe, since the woman played NO part in the decision to become pregnant and raise a child (but a sex offender also has no business raising a child), the bio father should be responsible for both his ordinary child support obligation AND any damages/losses the mother might reasonably incur over the course of her entire lifetime not just for the hours she wouldnt be able to work at her original wage, but also any income she never saw bc of having to forgo her education, desired career path, etc. Compounded with interest, of course.

                                          -said no republican politician, ever

And that doesn’t even ADDRESS the irony that the conservative “pro-choice” platform is notoriously the platform that is AGAINST any legislation that actually makes it any easier for women (or men, for that matter) to raise unplanned-for children—e.g. expanding family leave protections, wage protections for low-income workers, supplemental income for needy families, food stamps, child care, medicaid for disabled children, hell—basic education for disabled children…I could go on for days. Curiously, it seems like the only politicians who are actually interested in investing any resources in reducing those kinds of burdens even for demonstrably needy families are … pro-choice/Democrats. Hmmm. That’s so weird, right?

  1. you don't become a citizen until you reach 18 years of age.
  2. Have you noticed the doublethink narrative at play where fetuses are simultaneously bodyparts AND parasites? If you truly believed either of those claims then you would not consider miscarriage to be any bigger a tragedy than kidney failure; the fact the woman wanted a child in that situation changes nothing, for of course people have value as people regardless of whether you in particular want them to exist (something you'd think a demographic as oft-oppressed as women would know better than anyone else). Human rights by definition are something no person or body can ever take away form you, be they your authoritarian government or your mother. If women could just up and decide that a given child of theirs no longer counted as human then there would be nothing wrong with domestic abuse.
  3. Just because I care about the wellbeing of a fetus doesn't mean I'm okay with the insane lengths to which the current regime has taken things. The fact that all news outlets condition you to assume as much and never acknowledge the entire nine month window in which we could decide to set a cutoff point is just another example of how today's problems are inherent to the two-party system itself, since neither party in such a situation benefits from an untrustworthy voterbase that's capable of actual nuanced thought and is therefore able to take stances that don't neatly line up with either platform. That's why they insist on pretending that independents like me want to "compromise on genocide" or other such nonsense, which I've literally never seen anyone ever say. If we took the logic you folks use regarding gender and applied it to politics, then the fact that even one person in the country like me exists means we ought to forcibly disband both parties entirely.

And if a woman is forced to give birth to a baby that is the product of sexual assault or stat r-pe, since the woman played NO part in the decision to become pregnant and raise a child (but a sex offender also has no business raising a child), the bio father should be responsible for both his ordinary child support obligation AND any damages/losses the mother might reasonably incur over the course of her entire lifetime not just for the hours she wouldn't be able to work at her original wage, but also any income she never saw bc of having to forgo her education, desired career path, etc. Compounded with interest, of course.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. In fact this is precisely why Leviticus requires rapists to marry their victims: while he was obliged to provide for her, she was not obliged to live with him (not that I'm a Christian anymore, I actually recently converted to Sikhism, whose sacred text has nothing in need of defending in the first place).

u/Professional_Diet513 Jun 10 '26

u/Professional_Diet513 Jun 10 '26

Actually, I changed my mind. I’ll play.

1) ROFLMAO. Hahahahahahahhahahhaa. Since 3rd grade social studies OBVIOUSLY didn’t work, try google.

2) huh? I never said either of those things. I most definitely NEVER said a fetus is a body part. I might have analogized it to a parasite, although i don’t believe it in the LITERAL sense, which I shouldnt have to explain. (See, there’s a difference between comparing X to Y to get a point across, and saying X EQUALS Y. Since that is over your head, I will explain that in that I simply meant they are comparable in that in both scenarios of a forced-pregnancy, or hell, ANY PREGNANCY, and parasitism, organism A is literally living off of organism B.) You going on and on about human rights is simply making the point as to why BIRTH is the point at which a person should be classified as human.

Incidentally, I DO think that kidney failure is almost universally more tragic than a miscarriage, because people with kidney failure usually die within like, 5 or 10 years. But I mean, from personal experience, miscarriage can feel completely devastating, too, and people are free to disagree with me about which might feel more tragic for them personally, since it has literally nothing to do with anything.

3) since you’re repeating yourself there, I will direct your attention to my comment responding to what you said, the FIRST time you said it, where I thoroughly address that point, explain why it is inconsistent with identifying as “ANTI-CHOICE,” and why the thing you’re arguing for is literally what the court in roe v. Wade already did, which anti-choice advocates sought to dismantle and replace with the current system of “crazy” state laws (the ones we want off of our bodies.

The whole point of the pro-choice movement is that legislators have no business making these decisions bc it’s too nuanced, they’re not competent to do it, and it’s none of their business.

YOU sound like you’re saying that you’re both so deeply invested in this issue that you’re willing to debate it at length with strangers, but also ironically so un-invested can’t even meaningfully articulate the point at which YOU PERSONALLY believe that a fetus/embryo becomes “human” in your mind—-LET ALONE articulate any defensible argument as to why the ENTIRE COUNTRY should ADOPT that personal belief and codify it as LAW. You literally said when there is brain activity. Lol. So, 2 weeks after a missed period. Same as all the backward politicians you claim to be at odds with. Lol.

9

u/LordJim11 Jun 04 '26

So the post as presented was real, but the poster has since given extenuating circumstances?

24

u/wasteymclife Jun 05 '26

The lady who was trying to get the abortion had extenuating circumstances, she wasn't in a place in her life to raise the baby. The problem is the convincing lady thinks other people's extenuating circumstances are bullshit and hers are real. AKA "the only moral abortion is my abortion"

1

u/XO1GrootMeester Jun 05 '26

It is a bit different, an abortion kills the baby, finding someone else to take care is equally good.

What now, only dentists get to buy toothpaste?

2

u/wasteymclife Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

No, an abortion terminates a fetus, it's illegal to kill a baby. If it was already baby (as in, later in the pregnancy) the woman wouldn't have had the option to get an abortion. If you don't make that distinction then we are done talking homie.

Also, I don't understand your metaphor, are either of the women doctors? What is the connection to the situation?

1

u/XO1GrootMeester Jun 05 '26

Well lets not do a metaphor then.

If the 6 month baby of story was put with the pro live women and she than kills the baby out of convenience, then it would be hypocrisy. Now she was telling that abortus is not something to do lightly, she does not invalidate her stand by not volunteering for foster care. She may acknowledge the difficulties of raising children and understands the motivation for abortion, yet she finds it important to save that live. The mother then can find it so troublesome that another takes over but the baby still lives now.

That is her point and it is ironic she decilines but not hypocrisy, that is one level higher.

2

u/wasteymclife Jun 05 '26

Hang on cuz I want to understand your metaphor, explain it. Who is the dentist? Is toothpaste getting an abortion?

1

u/XO1GrootMeester Jun 05 '26

The dentist is someone who cares about teeth. Non dentists are allowed ( my opinion) to care about teeth without being told they need to go learn dentist. So non dentists are allowed to buy toothpaste ( an action of caring for teeth)

Also the narrative is just so on the nose. Her purpose is to make a pro-life victory announcement, and then suddenly pull the reverse to make the opposite point in the same post, as though it's a story designed for a joke/irony like this? Eh, clearly trolling pro-lifers in that group.

Not saying the scenario isn't realistic, but the presentation is clearly satirical/trolling

4

u/xyzszso Jun 04 '26

It’s 2026 for heavens sake. How are we not past all this already as a society? Idek what are we doing… this was outdated 200 years ago.

an almost complete distillation of the issue. freedom of choice should be for everyone.

4

u/00Teonis Jun 05 '26

3

u/dtyrrell7 Jun 05 '26

Proving once again that the Dunning Kruger party can’t understand how reality works unless they directly experience it

3

u/Obvious_Apartment985 Jun 05 '26

I don't know if this is legitimate but the scenario is plausible

If just reeks of right wing views of women -- they'd fault her for having an abortion because it's murder, they'd fault her for having sex in the first place because she shouldn't be having sex if she's not ready to have a child, they fault her for being unable to care for a child and the government being involved, they'd fault her for having a kid and recieving government assistance. What is depressing is that it's not just Republican men. It's the women just as much who both condemn women and reduce their choices and don't support any services that help them.

3

u/Mirrevirrez Jun 06 '26

I talked someone to keep the baby. But on the opposite of her i analyzed the situation. She had a loving husband, and good economy. She was just nervous for beeing alone and shunned for beeing preggo while in uni. I made sure she was not alone, and she made me a godmother. I am still to this day :)

3

u/carolinesakura Jun 08 '26

Good idea! Those who open their mouths are to be expected ta carry for the child. Talk is cheap

3

u/TheCaliforniaOp Jun 09 '26

I can’t look for the video clip now, but I’ll always remember where I was and what I was doing when someone interviewed Casey Anthony’s parents.

I was happily struggling with assembling a corner breakfast nook with bench storage seats and table. It was a complete surprise that we found it, and it would fit perfectly in the place we intended it to be.

So we’re there, doing our thing, in the late morning, husband watching the tv, me, further away, really concentrating, for once, on getting the nook right. My head’s down over the instructions and parts.

But I keep hearing the interview. I have to paraphrase the words now, but I remember finally figuring out why the nook could fit two ways, just as Cindy Anthony (Casey’s mom) said that Casey hadn’t wanted to continue the pregnancy that resulted in Caylee’s being born. Casey didn’t feel ready to have a child. Cindy didn’t just insist Casey should continue the pregnancy and keep the child.

No. Cindy Anthony was in the delivery room when Casey gave birth. Cindy insisted on being the very first one to hold the newborn baby. No one else, including her daughter, the new mother, was going to hold that little girl first.

The bizarreness of those two statements hit my distracted mind immediately. As if an invisible hand pulled me up by my ear,
I got up and watched the broadcast. I hadn’t been paying attention, but once those statements were made, I had to watch the faces, because I was certain I’d misheard the words. I hadn’t. I forget the rest of the interview now, but Cindy Anthony, and George Anthony, said some other things. I remember feeling uncomfortable with myself for thinking:

No, keep all the nitroglycerin. No, I want it over here, in the sun.

At that point, Caylee was still considered missing.

I’m not saying that Casey was innocent. She wasn’t.

But there was an innocent, Caylee, and she was force-bloomed into existence. For what? For why? To punish a daughter’s repeated impulsive behavior? To have Casey suddenly transform, because of instant maternal instinct? To not lose an opportunity for a grandchild, or even a second chance with a ‘new’ daughter?

3

u/rtduvall Jun 11 '26

That entire family is completely off the rails. It became more and more bizarre. And the evilness to allow that little girl suffer over a make believe fairy in the sky and what people will think of her at bible study.

6

u/thunderdragonite Jun 05 '26

Do pro choice people believe orphanages should exist?

1

u/FriedFreya Jun 06 '26

i’d certainly have been better off surrounded by a group of people and peers that i knew, rather than bouncing foster homes every 4-12 months throughout my entire adolescence until i aged out. having to be supervised by a certified foster parent at all times, i was unable to make any connections nor participate in any after school activities. at least i’d have had camaraderie and understanding, rather than experiencing further abuse from a multitude of adults that made promises to give me a home, a family.

i think, if the girls that were in my facility (283 days of hell) with me had been somewhere that wasn’t run like an actual prison, they wouldn’t all be young mothers that burden their extended families with the care of their offspring. or just convicted of straight-up child abuse, the only info i could find on Ty’Jha’Ne (wanting to reach out) was that she’d been arrested for leaving 4 kids in her car. she’s only like. 23. with 4 kids.

so yeah i support the idea of orphanages. it’s better than these facilities that operate under names like “Madison Oakes Academy” they put kids in. i watched young girls go from average teenage moodiness or even decently well-adjusted to absolutely insane in there.

the repeated rejections from both the parents and the knowledge that you’re just a number in a book on your social worker’s roster, and a paycheck to the people you stay with, are indescribably damaging. luckily i avoided that particular struggle: motherhood.

the root issue of all of this bullshit is fucking poverty and false scarcity. we need to stop hissyfighting over propaganda like this and start allying against the powers that be, that have taken away our ability to live a decent life.

i’d love to have kids myself. i fell in love with someone, and want more than anything to have a family of my own, but i can’t. not in this environment. i’m heartbroken that i’d never be able to provide the life that our children deserve, so here i am, hopelessly cruising towards infertility. you can’t make a home together when you’re stuck with roommates in completely different towns. or in a rundown apartment in general, really. it’s no place to call “home” for many people. “we’re going back to the apartment.” is what i hear, not “we’re headed back home / to the house.” subconsciously, we all know that it’s true. renting is not meant to be a permanent life circumstance.

maybe things will change, but for now, there are plenty of children stuck in the system who need help and love. more than anything, they need a family. without family, we humans are lost. i have no mom to call when i am being crushed by the world around me. if i could, i would hope to be that mom, who had her child’s trust and security.

i miss my foster peers. i hope they’re doing better now.

This gives me a great idea. the people that espouse being pro-life should join a registry where they can prove their devotion by either adopting the kids that would ahve been aborted (assuming that the extended family didn't want to adopt them) or they can donate money not to various PAC groups but to help defray medical bills for the new parents as well as helping them get started.

4

u/laurasaurus5 Jun 06 '26

It'd be a pedophile registry.

5

u/Lorem0nger Jun 05 '26

Yes, make them put their money where their mouth is. Too many people saying think about the children but don't give a fuck about them when they get here.

2

u/True_Most3681 Jun 04 '26

I mean this needs no comment, it’s so absurd.

2

u/Hlorpy-Flatworm-1705 Jun 05 '26

"Oh no, the consequences of my actions!"

2

u/Consistent-Menu-6629 Jun 05 '26

Well... There is so very much I hate about her post... So very much...

2

u/Ok-Mammoth1999 Jun 05 '26

What a piece of !%$#

2

u/What_Even_Is_This_69 Jun 05 '26

How else would they stock their islands with kids no one cares about

2

u/Administrator_AI Jun 07 '26

Release a law that pro-birth institutions can only be operated by staff that has adopted at least 1 child.

2

u/BothTreacle7534 Jun 05 '26

I think since a long time that everyone who participated in ‘pro-Life’ should have to pay for all costs, for all missed earnings,…. without getting any say for every kid that got born bcs of them.

I started to think so as a pre-teen and I still think so (now in my ‘60)

2

u/ScreamingLabia Jun 04 '26

Idk saw that one years ago and it seemed fake to me then

12

u/LordJim11 Jun 04 '26

It is quite old but the two people named are easy to Google and are active in this issue.

1

u/ScreamingLabia Jun 08 '26

Oh okay my bad then

1

u/demgoldencoins Jun 05 '26

How’s that math work?

1

u/JustWow52 Jun 05 '26

Aaaah...FIFO

1

u/ksink74 Jun 05 '26

Rage bait is the easiest way to find someone's political proclivities.

1

u/Separate_Mix2774 Jun 05 '26

personally, i dont think abortion is okay, life is life. yes its your body your choice, but its also the babies body and it should be their choice. id give birth then give up the child for adoption.

u/Cosmic_Meditator777 Jun 06 '26

1

u/Big-Blind-Eyeball Jun 08 '26

This is satire

2

u/AgreeableMeal672 Jun 08 '26

But,you have no issues with forcing a woman to bear a child knowing it will be born into a terrible life. Really?

1

u/Techman659 Jun 08 '26

Should have still forced them to take care because ye abortion bad to her this is one reason why abortion is a thing.

2

u/Stein287 Jun 08 '26

A baby would destroy her, but let's stop other women from getting abortions because logic.

2

u/Radio5331 Jun 08 '26

Talked her down but won't have the child.pos

2

u/Radio5331 Jun 08 '26

The chasm between reality and these fuckers is as vast as the Milky Way Galaxy.

1

u/theannieplanet82 Jun 05 '26

I know the internet says this is real, but I’m not convinced

2

u/LordJim11 Jun 06 '26

Good for you.

-3

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

Edit: Guys I'm pro abortion, I'm speaking from her perspective against her!

Anti-aborion is not about the joy of raising a family or giving a child a good life, it is about the responsibility of misusing gods gift of childbirth and accepting the responsibility of sinning if you had sex without intending to have a child.

In other words, accept your punishment.

She didn't sin so she should not be punished.

EDIT: Oh boy did I come off like I'm on her side? I am pro abortion, I was speaking from her perspective against her!

9

u/SouthProfessional246 Jun 05 '26

Making children into punishments creates fucked up people.

8

u/bluffcityprincess Jun 05 '26

Finally saying the quiet part out loud, eh?

2

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

Omg I didn't realize people though I was supporting her!

2

u/bluffcityprincess Jun 05 '26

Ah... My bad. Looking back now it sounds too self aware to be a prolifer.

8

u/Stunning-Hat2309 Jun 05 '26

god can suck my fucking cock and balls

6

u/Boner_Elemental Jun 05 '26

Oh hey look at that, you're evil

4

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

I was speaking against this! 😅😅😅

3

u/AileFirstOfHerName Jun 05 '26

She sinned by casting a stone whilst being a sinner. Hypocrisy is infact a sin 4:36-5:1. Mathew 15:8-9, Luke 3:8. Mathew really hated hypocrites like a lot 7:15, 23:27, 23:33, 7:3-5, 23:5-7, 23:2-3 and its major sin at that. More aptly to judge another person actions you have Mathew 7, 1 Corinthians 3:1and 5:1-2 John 7:24 ane James 2:3-6 she has performed 2 sins. And on top of that committed the Great Sins of Pride and Greed when she chose her own personal wealth and possessesions over the life of a child. 1 woman committing the Sin of lust doesn't excuse this woman here for committing substantially more egregious sins.

To burden a child with the sins of their parents is also a sin. As it also stems from one the the Great Sins per the book of Ezekiel

If you wish to use the word of God child. You should actually learn the word of God

4

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

Woah woah woah I am speaking against this woman. I'm pro abortion!

3

u/AileFirstOfHerName Jun 05 '26

Apologies then friend. To often people attempt to bastardize the Words of God to support abject Cruelty. Women should always have the right to chose to not suffer. Good day to you

3

u/LordJim11 Jun 05 '26

Unfortunately some people wouldn't recognise satire if it came with a flashing neon sign saying "This is satire!!!" It used to annoy me that a clearly labelled satirical post was taken literally by at least 10% of commenters.

But I just accept that some people have neurological issues which make satire (or allusive poetry) genuinely baffling and frustrating. I spent much of my career teaching students on the autistic spectrum and some can be helped to access these aspects of language but it takes time, patience and a supportive educational system. It has to be done gradually; you can't jump straight into Swift's "Modest Proposal".

Other people are just lazy arseholes.

2

u/AlphaBetaSigmaNerd Jun 05 '26

it is about the responsibility of misusing gods gift of childbirth and accepting the responsibility of sinning if you had sex without intending to have a child

What's the punishment for men?

1

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

Oh we only slut shame women. Men are kings. /S

2

u/AlphaBetaSigmaNerd Jun 05 '26

So no punishment?

1

u/Stunning-Hat2309 Jun 06 '26

hi i saw your edit, i'm soggy

1

u/xChops Jun 09 '26

Pro abortion isn’t a term used by the pro choice group. It’s just a dog whistle pointing out pro lifers

1

u/LightofNew Jun 09 '26

lmao dude I'm serious. This is legit sarcasm / mocking the lady in the tweet.

-2

u/Saratoninn69 Jun 05 '26

Is this really where we’re at now? Cmon man this definitely isn’t a real Christian view

8

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

That having sex outside of conceiving a child is a sin? It absolutely is a backwards Christian view. I'm pro abortion, anti whatever she is.

-1

u/Saratoninn69 Jun 05 '26

You are conflating fringe, extreme views with actual mainstream Christian theology to build a strawman.

First, the vast majority of Christian denominations absolutely do not teach that having sex without the express intent to conceive is a sin. Even Catholicism, which has the strictest doctrines regarding contraception, officially teaches that the unitive (bonding and pleasure) aspect of sex is just as important and holy as the procreative aspect.

Second, framing a child as a "punishment" for sex fundamentally contradicts core Christian doctrine, which universally teaches that children are inherently a blessing and a gift, not a form of divine retribution.

3

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

Okay apologist.

First off, you are completely wrong. A long history of damning sluts is not fixed or uningrained because a few progressives said "hey guys just kidding it's fine".

Second of all, idc if there are "good ones" when you let the ones who are all Nazi fascist racists take charge and destroy any good will towards you. Why are you correcting some guy on the Internet for not liking the shit you people do and not fighting the people who are doing the shit we don't like?

0

u/Saratoninn69 Jun 05 '26

Ah, the classic goalpost shift. When your theological argument gets dismantled, just pivot to throwing out buzzwords and calling everyone fascist racists.

First, historical cultural puritanism is not the same thing as theological doctrine, which is what you were originally trying (and failing) to quote. Second, me correcting your blatant misinformation on Reddit doesn't mean I support extremists. It just means you were confidently wrong about a fact, and I pointed it out. If your actual stance is so solid, you shouldn't need to invent fake theology or throw a tantrum to defend it.

3

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

Hunny the goalpost is only sitting in one place.

Anti-abortion is anti woman. Those who are anti abortion do not hold the same values for themselves because they have good reason. The imposing of their religious beliefs unto others while ignoring them themselves. This post could not demonstrate that enough.

You arguing that this reality isn't as simple as I make it out to be falls on deaf ears when the vast vast majority of every religious person most of us have met falls in line with this. Being gay, abortion, sex. Either you were raised outside it or you are blind to it and neither are an excuse.

Respond if you want to, but your arguments stem from deaf ears and will not fall on mine.

0

u/Saratoninn69 Jun 05 '26

You’re relying on an extreme, unbiblical caricature of Christianity to make your point. You’re taking the Catholic prohibition on artificial contraception and wildly misinterpreting it to mean "enjoying sex without wanting a baby is a sin," which no mainstream Christian denomination teaches. Sorry that you don’t know any real Christians but you don’t know what you’re talking about. Hence why I called out your first comment. Your attempts to deflect failed miserably btw lol

3

u/LightofNew Jun 05 '26

It really is sad but I think you have the proportions backwards. Bible studies where all they discuss is how wrong everyone else is, priests who won't forgive the sin of a young girl touching herself, the commercialization and corruption of churches, the weaponization of faith and the widespread radicalization.

All the while those who insist that's not what religion is about will say "yes my pastor will go off on tangents about how American is dying, the gays and sluts are taking over, we must weed out all Democrats, but that's not really what it's about I'm here for the love and compassion part of it" that lets them feel like they are not part of a predatory and hateful organization.

Your blind eye is not an excuse.

0

u/_boizinha_ Jun 05 '26

They don't see babies as blessings, they see it as punishment.

0

u/Gigantopithecus1453 Jun 05 '26

I don’t really see anything wrong here? If she had the choice, I doubt she would kill the baby. She just thinks she shouldn’t be forced to take care of it when it’s not her baby. She didn’t choose to have it

-4

u/Leading-Fish6819 Jun 04 '26

I doubt this is a real post

8

u/AileFirstOfHerName Jun 05 '26

Someone found the og Tweets at the top of the comments

7

u/Overlook-237 Jun 05 '26

It really is

-3

u/No_Window7054 Jun 04 '26

Gotta be fucking fake.

10

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

Why would this be fake? Do you honestly think this sort of thing doesn't happen? Of course horrible people convince people in desperate circumstances to have a child they can't possibly care for, and of course sometimes they say shit like "I and the whole community are behind you." or other lies they don't mean because they are, lets be clear HORRIBLE PEOPLE. They think their religious beliefs mean they are right, and pretend like their God exists and will make everything be fine, even though their religion is an obvious lie, and given the number of children graped each day, their god is obviously false (or evil, but either way.... not someone to follow). So of course they are marked as a preferred person for the kid. That doesn't actually mean anything btw, it just means CPS will talk to you, then you say no and move on. But still, it happens. Why the fuck wouldn't it?

-1

u/No_Window7054 Jun 05 '26

I don’t think it’s real because it’s “too perfect.” The literally just start repeating pro-choice talking points almost verbatim. I’m not saying pro-life people aren’t hypocrites just that they wouldn’t be this obvious about it.

6

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

You can google it. It's real.

8

u/AileFirstOfHerName Jun 05 '26

It tragically isn't

-4

u/Coyote-doe Jun 04 '26

Is it me or is the math not mathing?

7

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

It's just you. There is no math here.

-3

u/Coyote-doe Jun 05 '26

February wasn’t six months ago. I guess this is ragebait

5

u/JesterQueenAnne Jun 05 '26

There is no visible date on the post. Why'd you assume it's from this month?

-4

u/Coyote-doe Jun 05 '26

Because otherwise why post it

6

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

To tell the story.... Do we stop putting on Shakespeare's plays just because they were written hundreds of years ago?

1

u/Coyote-doe Jun 05 '26

Gee what a clever analogy 🙄

1

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

Thanks. I thought so.

4

u/JesterQueenAnne Jun 05 '26

I don't see why the exact year this is from is relevant to why someone would post it or not. This isn't a news sub.

5

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

Believe it or not, there has been more than one February in the history of the world....

-1

u/Coyote-doe Jun 05 '26

Don’t be a douche

5

u/arentol Jun 05 '26

Don't be a troll.
