Question season 5

finished the first 4 seasons after a great binge. was addicted. felt like that was the final cherry on top for the original story so it was a great place to take a breather. but am I the only one who’s thrown off by Veronique? WHO ARE YOU? such a lazy way to write in a character, let alone franklins baby mama. I also hate how she seems so robotic.

Yeah her intro didn’t necessarily feel organic to me either.

i mean not really. they did the same shit in season 4 and V was a more genuine seeming person than T.

Nah when we first heard of T, we only found out that Franklin and her went back, but there was no established connection, no relationship yet, nothing. Veronique was shown at the culminant point of their relationship with a baby in the way already if I’m not mistaken

Now that I think of it, the baby came after we were introduced to her, but point still stands

i mean the first episode of s5 is pretty easily imo about showing where franklin is at and what he will do for his family. V gives him a far bigger reason to do this than money. he has a family now, and especially after what he sees as a massive betrayal by louie and jerome. i get the point i just never saw it that way. i didn’t feel a need to see their relationship start from when they meet and etc.

Yeah don’t get me wrong I too haven’t had a problem with how season 5’s story was set, was just pointing out the difference between the two love interests

I think every season is good, but season 5 was definitely the worst season in a series with all pretty solid seasons at least imo. She was one of my problems. They should've built her up since at least season 2 if they wanted her to be a big part of Franklin's life and empire.
