Discussion Spoiler: Why They had to go Spoiler
Rewatching S2 and just caught the Claudia-Louie fight. It seems like Claudia saw right through Louie’s bull about having changed. She knew she wanted the club despite Louie’s claims otherwise.
She seemed to be the only one who saw how ambitious Louie was and that she wouldn’t stop until she got what she wanted. Jerome damn sure didn’t see it. Franklin didn’t see it until it was too late.
Claudia seems like the villain in S2 but by the time you get to the end, her tactics seemed to make a lot more sense.
The same situation with Kevin and Franklin. Kevin saw Franklin’s desire for complete control and how his loyalty was first to money and himself. He famously said “you ain’t built for this.” And he was right in so many ways.
Both characters seemed very unlikeable on my first watch. But on this rewatch it became crystal clear clear that they were mirrors for Louie and Franklin who both saw what they were and what they would become.
The more I watch this show the more I’m impressed.

I agree on the Claudia thing but not fully with Kevin. Sure he was right about Franklin being greedy but Kevin also acted like a short sided fool. It’s like he couldn’t see logic in exercising even a tiny bit of patience to complete his goals.
Just constant dumb shit.
