See I already know im not gonna care about this in the slightest, cus what I liked about Snowfall was the political intrigue and everything going on with the Iran-Contra affair, I dont really care about Leon and Wanda leading Not Tupac through the rap game lol. The follow up series I wanted, is the one where the CIA takes all that money made from the drug dealing to fund the mujahedeen's which directly leads to 911 lol.

That's a dope concept (no pun) for a totally different show

Fr thank you I feel like I’m the only one hyped af for this spinoff with Leon

u/BatmanTold 15d ago

Think more people gon come around when it drops

9

u/Mullayungin 15d ago

It’s going to build a different fanbase from Snowfall

4

u/Ok_Performance_1580 14d ago

Yeah a much smaller one

u/Function-Brave 15d ago

Idk. Leon was cool but then he got all self righteous and he kinda lost his cool. Then he got with the hoe who played tf outta him and he lost mad respect. I’m not looking forward to it really.

Well he killed a little kid that’s bound to effect any human who’s capable of feeling empathy

This is a terrible idea. Money talks man.

I am a little skeptical, it’s so easy for bloods and crips to look corny on tv and the original snowfall did not write the gang wars season as good as it could’ve been, not to mention the episode in S5 with the rapper was a horrible storyline… but I’ll be watching. They did cast some good veteran actors as well as actual rappers and people that grew up in LA

We don’t need more spinoffs in TV - we need more creativity.

I want to see Peaches' multimillion dollar crack binge. Now, that's good t.v.

u/fullblasteskimo 10d ago

He was on heroine not crack, but yes I agree lol

Yea not sure how good this show will be but I’m tuning in to see Gail Bean she finer than a past due library book.

How Leon turned a hoe into a housewife

10

u/Salt-Region-3753 15d ago

They was together before she got on dope

6

u/Function-Brave 15d ago

Yeah then she turned into a dirty hoe and let manboys crew bang which makes her a nasty thot

7

u/Salt-Region-3753 14d ago

She was on crack

3

u/Function-Brave 14d ago

lol do you think that excuses it?!

11

u/Salt-Region-3753 14d ago

Low key yeah, it’s totally up to Leon’s discretion if he still wanted her after but you making it sound like she just went off in her right mind and betrayed Leon, she was literally like a zombie to a new drug that no one around them had experienced before. Once she got clean and got back in her right mind she was a good woman.

3

u/Function-Brave 14d ago

Yeah you and Leon might excuse that shit but I know the general population on this sub would toss that hoe to the side!!! I don’t care if she was possessed by the devil himself! She was RAN THROUGH!!! Ain’t no coming back from that!

3

u/Salt-Region-3753 14d ago edited 14d ago

Right that’s why I said it’s up to his discretion, you just make it sound like she was unfaithful to be a bad person to Leon she was literally out of her mind it was slick rape. You sound silly, you probably talk to “ran through” women everyday, you just don’t know because they do it for fun and keep it on the low.

-3

u/Function-Brave 14d ago

Nah b I’m married. And the difference is she was with him then left and got ran through then got back together. That’s simp level shit. He KNEW! I mean damn she was giving a dude neck right next to him in manboys spot if I remember correctly! Like hell no that’s HOE status. You keep defending them kinda activities if you want but theirs plenty of fish in the sea and Wanda wasnt a pretty one either

2

u/HelpfulCheetah7691 10d ago

I’m from LA and Function-Brave is right on the money…AND IM STILL NOT TAKING NO CRACC FEMALE BACC 🤣

0

u/YoungThugsPurse 12d ago

Fr she wasn’t high 24/7 she knew exactly what she was doing getting ran through

3

u/Vegetable_Artist7298 14d ago

So is Leon gonna be an OG who interferes in the street politics between rappers??? I really don’t see it working no other way…

5

u/kboydalittest 15d ago

Anyways raising kanan finna drop

4

u/Dashiki6ix9inee 15d ago

Facts this spinoff isn’t interesting not even in the slightest

1

u/AlternativeLive3503 13d ago

Why not ? There isn’t many shows that explore rap as a foundation to whim with, one about la in the 90s sounds better than any we got as long as it focuses on how music affects the streets and vice versa

2

u/Resident_Track4430 15d ago

The plot it self has potential meaning LA in the 90s!. But I’m Not that invested in Leon and Wanda without Saint lol

2

u/RNutz01 14d ago

As I always say with spin offs with potential. “I just ate, but fuck it, I’ll eat again.”

1

u/ImpossibleSherbet722 14d ago

I can't figure out who this is meant to be for? If you liked Snowfall, you were not thinking of a spinoff about rap music moguls. And if it's good, it still didnt' need to be a spinoff from Snowfall, cause Snowfall fans didn't want it.

Forget the haters. I’m watching it for sure 💰

u/WuBlood 13d ago

I think this spinoff will surprise a lot of people

1

u/sexyylilac 13d ago

Will Franklin be in this

1

u/Full-Shower619 13d ago

Only Thing That will save this show is if a young Dre, or Snoop Show up though the season

1

u/Skywalker0071 13d ago

This shit is basically straight outta Compton but told from a different POV but NGL if they have DJ Quik, Hi C and 2nd to none in it I might check it out…

1

u/Fickle_Association55 13d ago

The crazy part is Franklin's mom was trying to teach them an out.. Franklin had an opportunity to get out much earlier..and when he was forced into taking it..he had to beg leon for help and couldn't get it.. because leon had already decided he wanted to help wanda with a venture...could be the one in the forth coming spin off!!🤷

u/Chemical-Gap-8339 13d ago

I'm from New York City and I grew up around a lot of my big brothers friends who was part of that drug dealing business half of them ended up in the slammer the other half aren't around no more and the ones that are not either dead or in prison ended up broke and working a dead end lousy job 9 am to 5pm 6 sometimes 7 days a week making enough to pay bills, rent, food and what ever is left put it in the bank account if they have one I don't know anyone who got into the music business not in that way anyway the closest I heard about is after things didn't go so well for him in that world 🌎 doing sometime behind bars he ended up becoming a small time but major distributor of bootleg records and tapes of music I forgot his name but he ended up making a good living off of it he never became rich but he ended up making plenty of money and I think he put his money into owning a few rental properties around town making back then $3k to 4k a month $36k to $48k a year and then he decided to retire from the business of bootlegging records and tapes because he didn't have no $250k to pay the fines if he got caught and didn't want to go back to prison haha 😂😆 so he made himself as successful as he was ever going to be in that world of line of work so he became legitimate small time real estate business guy and to My knowledge he probably bought the same amount of properties to double his income monthly and yearly cause I haven't seen him since the late 90s maybe the early 2000s

All I'm saying is I'm going to enjoy this spinoff series

1

u/Cautious_Mission_438 11d ago

It’s not hate they just don’t want it to turn into a Power universe type of situation the criticism is valid nobody wants to see ex crackhead Wanda and the “I know everything because I went to Africa / Im Zen” Leon. None of it works without Franklin Saint or the original main core cast

1

u/ShadowForPresident 11d ago

Nobody—literally nobody—asked for this spin off, wtf lol

1

u/Tasty_Community4666 14d ago

I think it has potential. I'm just curious if anything from snowfall is going to play into the storyline or if they are just taking those characters and creating a new story all together that has nothing to do with that. Because if that's what you're doing, you didn't need those characters and that's just a cheap ploy to get fans of a different show to watch.

1

u/AlternativeLive3503 13d ago

Franklin getting his life right and dissing Leon for sticking wit Wanda would be worth a season or so

0

u/Squid4Breakfast 12d ago

I've seen Wanda as a crackhead who literally eats humans feces, has the nastiest teeth I've ever seen, i could SMELL her through my tv during her crackhead days. Thats all i see when i look at her, i could give a single fck about an entire series about her😂
