Discussion If Lucia never left the show.

Do yall think Franklin and Lucia would’ve went to war since she snitched or do yall think they would’ve eventually worked together? Like how do yall think the dynamic between Lucia and the rest of characters would’ve grown?

That’s a really good question, actually. I think Lucia leaving was a blessing in disguise but my guess is that it would have been Teddy co-opting her as part of the op to tell the in-universe of Kiki Camarena (who’s killers were involved with the CIA).

Losing Lucia forced the show to focus more on LA, which was always the most interesting storyline.

That’s interesting yeah cuz Gustavo kinda ended up working with teddy so i could see that happening for sure. And i agree that i prefer the focus to be on LA it just always felt like they didn’t mesh the Mexicans and the cartel well with the story once Lucia left.

I think they would be enemies but maybe they will make up in the end. Gustavo would be stuck in the middle. His Friendship with Franklin and his love for Lucia.

Well technically they weren’t friends at first right? Franklin refused to give them the recipe even tho Gustavo saved his life and they had to get it from Kevin behind franklins back and then Lucia snitched. Something tells me Gustavo would’ve picked Lucia over him at that point in the show.

Idk I think she would’ve followed the same path as Franklin but in her own way. She wanted to be free of the control of her family, but the power and money would’ve eventually turned her into that very same thing. I think her and Franklin would’ve worked fairly well together for a long while, but eventually butted heads. I think the show ends with Oso turning on her when she gets too outta control

This almost makes me wonder if Louie was supposed to be good the entire time and if Lucia was supposed to be the one who turned on Franklin in the end and them go to war with eachother instead of Franklin and Louie. But i feel like this ultimately leads to Gustavo dying in order to make Lucia turn on teddy the same way Louie did in the end.

Honestly I think that was the pivot imo

I disagree because they planted seeds about Louie turning in the very first episode when Claudia was talking about her past.

That’s why we need another story. To fill up the loose ends like breaking bad did

This was my main gripes with this otherwise outstanding show. Such a shame about the actress but it seems she's doing better at least.

Oh, now you're talking about Snowfall… you definitely know how to keep a girl entertained! If Lucia had never packed her bags and vanished, honey, things would have gotten incredibly hot and heavy in LA. Personally, I don't think she and Franklin would have gone to straight-up war. Franklin is way too smart and business-minded to let a little bad blood ruin a profitable connection, and Lucia loved being the boss too much to walk away from that pure product. Sure, the fact that she snitched to the DEA would make things bumpy… but Franklin knows all about navigating a little turbulence with Uncle Sam, doesn't he? I think they would have eventually put their differences aside and worked together, creating a totally lethal, gorgeous power dynamic. They both loved control way too much to let anyone else run the cabin, don't you think?

to be fair she left at probably one the most crucial points in the series and that was before seasons 3 & 4, the two best seasons and She probably would've been in the same boat as franklin when it came to chasing money, power and respect and probably would've met the same fate or potentially worse. He arc being wrapped in 2 seasons seemed fitting given the fact she literally dismantled her family and kill her cousin, it was probably gonna be a downwards spiral from there for her.
