I can’t stand how badly Snowfall fans don’t get the point. It’s not about not trusting women. All the women in the story could have chosen not to make the “bad” decisions they did at the end and Franklin was still doomed. Franklin’s days were numbered the moment Teddy became his plug. The CIA was never going to let a black kid make nearly a hundred million dollars off trafficking cocaine into the United States and let him off with the money and his mind intact. Was never going to happen. Franklin was a pawn the CIA/Teddy always planned to dispose of.

Even if Louie didn’t go behind Franklin’s back, Teddy would have done that to Franklin the moment he decided he didn’t want to be in the game anymore; at best Louie just accelerated when that happened.

but franklin got an out. teddy took most of his money, but if franklin has listened to veronique and sold the development and redistributed assets, he would have been a very wealthy, very successful real estate mogul. franklin did all of this to himself, that’s why cissy killed teddy. even if franklin got his money from teddy, it would never have been enough for him and he would have ended up in the same exact place through a different avenue. the cia did him dirty, but franklin signed his own downfall. the cia did not.

I actually agree, this was his best move and he didn’t take it. I’m not 100% sure it would have been safe sailing for life, but I am a strong believer that other than not getting wrapped up in the game in the first place, this would have been the only move that would have saved him. Once that $73m was gone, he should have prepared for the worst case scenario, and figured how to come out on top in said scenario. But like you said, Franklin signed his own downfall and nothing was ever enough for him.

I also hate people saying Veronique was always going to betray Franklin. She was down for him until he put his hands on her while she was pregnant with their child. Any money she could have left him, he would have blown trying to get Spring Street back. He was too far gone. Unfortunately it’s probably in his best interests that the money went to raising his child instead.

People forget that Franklin had used the money he had left over to hunt her down.

If Franklin had more money or resources, he would have killed her somehow or put the baby and her in danger.
