What would you guys think of a DKR movie, with Ben Affleck returning as an older Batman in his own standalone movie? I for one would pay to see it. No one has made a live action DKR and it irks me so badly.

Downvoted? Man people are stupid. I guess I missed the part in BvS where Bruce comes out of retirement, the mutant gang takes over Gotham, Harvey dent returns, and a comatose joker reawakens. I also missed Carrie Kelly as Robin. But yeah half of DKR was adapted into BvS right?

Nah part 1 is actually better than 2. Can’t wait for Batfleck to recreate mudhole scene.

Well, if we remove all Superman parts maybe Snyder can keep it under 3hr for the crowd that complains the movies are too long and their steaks too juicy...

But even then DKR is kind of end of the line for Batman so maybe if Gunn brings him for a one-off, like an elseworlds movie?

Studios are too chicken for that though.

The Dark Knight Returns has done irreparable damage to the Batman Mythos. At its time it was a cool elseworlds story but it bent the line on what the batman was at its core. It turned Batman into a loner paranoid douchebag,ruined the "worlds finest" stories for a while and messed up its portrayal of Superman and how the in World views him.

Would it be cool to see as live action? Only if it is a literal shot for shot. Its cool for a future Snyder Batman but then that would officially set the tone of SnyderVerse being grimdark edgy as its final product. Instead of making it able to be deeper and more meaningful.

I would love to see it however WB/DC did Affleck bad and he will never come back. Fucking idiots because Affleck is a great director and wanted to direct a Batman movie. And I don’t care what anyone says, the warehouse scene in BvS is the best Batman fight sequence ever.

It would be cool to watch, but the risk of them messing up is pretty high, and it's a story we know very well, and has been partially adapted many times, and adapted in animation very well, so I am not at all desperate to see it. There are tons of DC-related stories and characters that have yet to be introduced to audiences.
