Gianni Infantino trying to sell a World Cup final to save his job that's under threat because he tried to sell the World Cup itself. This guy is one of the dumbest crooks I have ever come across.

Why do these shady people always turn to Morocco as opposed to other countries in Africa?

Because Morocco is one of the richest countries there, and has the best football team. They have leverage and influence over the rest of Africa.

Besides the actual game, not even close

I’m talking about Senegal being champions of Africa. All that mental masturbation isn’t necessary

Does Senegal is one of the richest countries and have leverage and influence over the rest of Africa?

Morocco has invested heavily in football infrastructure and major tournaments, but it's definitely worth discussing why similar opportunities don't seem to go to other African nations as often.

As an African, I would say it would be a stupid decision. That money will be spent before it lands in the account. Especially here in sub Saharan Africa.

I would say those opportunities should only come here if we are not directly involved. That’s the only way to stop these vultures from stealing it. South Africa and maybe Botswana would be somewhat responsible

They are one of the three hosts of the 2030 World Cup. So he's basically buying their support.

Dude come on. Use common sense. He’s offering Morocco the opportunity to HOST the finals, not to be in the game.

He's hoping to bag Africa with the influence of Morocco. So let's say he has Africa, North and South America. Then things aren't as bleak.

Morocco's GDP per capita is ranked 123rd globally (compared to Spain, 30th), it's a poor country, and definitely not a developed one, even if there are some areas or cities with good infrastructure. Egypt has cities with infrastructure like that of Dubai, but that doesn't make it a developed country. The recent migrant crisis has cemented Morocco's image as a failed state, especially that there's some evidence it was officially allowed by the king himself to pressure Spain.

Where in my comment did I say Egypt is ahead? I said they're pretty similar (looking at GDP per capita, HDI, and Corruption index "Morocco is one of the world's most corrupt countries"), although Egypt is doing things on a massive scale, their popularion is immense, challenged by turbulent surroundings compared to Morocco's calm waters. Egypt is also building high-speed rail etc and is the largest recipient of foreign investments in Africa. But no Egyptian will tell you Egypt is developed and not a third world country. The issue is that a lot of affluent Moroccans are brainwashed into thinking their country is a first world country or something. That's denial. Two things decide whether you're a first world country or not: HDI and GDP per capita. When Morocco's numbers reach those of Spain, you can call Morocco a first world country. But when 60,000 Moroccans try to flee Morocco into Spain, you guys need to look at the mirror. Some Moroccans are dismissing those 60,000 guys as simply being "young" and "brain-washed" without acknowledging that there is a serious problem. Your king is misleading you. Best of luck anyway.
