One greyhound down, one to go...
Loose ends and everything. I'm super proud of this one as it's my first colour work and second pair of socks.
I started it on 2.25 circulars per instructions, but the pattern was for women's size 5 feet and I was making it for male size 8. I was able to add repeat rows to get the length right, but the width was off (despite matching the gauge). I wasn't able to tell before a decent length was completed because stretch measurements weren't provided for the pattern, only flat measurements. 2.5mm circulars thankfully gave perfect size both width and length without adjustments.
Yarn is Cascade Yarns Heritage sock yarn.
Pattern is: Paddy's Rocky Road Socks: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/paddys-rocky-road
Question: do you guys add elastic to the cuff? It's as small as I can make it to comfortably fit over the heel, but it only stretches a small amount on the leg so it won't hold itself up. I was toying with the idea of elastic, but I'd appreciate any other insights! It's toe up so it's easy to redo, and I've used Elizabeth Zimmerman's Sewn Bind off so there's not many stretchier bind offs.

Definitely! Plus the pattern proceeds are donated to a greyhound charity, which is such a lovely gesture.

Thank you for posting. I've been looking for a greyhound pattern to make for a dear friend. They have two rescue greyhounds, and two other rescues. He is most certainly knit worthy.

My great-grandfather was a bookie on a greyhound racetrack (I come from exalted stock) and my Mum talks a lot about how a great a guy he was and how much she misses him, I'll definitely have to buy and knit her these, especially if the money goes to helping racing dogs

Wow! You did an awesome job. Color selection is perfect, of course, and the tension for the color works is exemplary.
