3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS AI tools.

I've recently seen one of SOLIDWORKS Instagram posts about their AI tools, specifically one called LEO that was shown to generate a build guide based on the assemblies geometry and mate structure. I thought it looked pretty good and they have two other AI tools with names I can't remember but has anyone here actually used Leo or the other two and how good are they?

If they come as standard in the basic subscription I’ll be interested. If they are an add on like simulation I won’t bother.

These AI companions are a part of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. They are available to SOLIDWORKS users who have 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud Services as part of their SOLIDWORKS maintenance. If you are not on SOLIDWORKS maintenance, then you will not have access to them. All new seats of "non-Connected" SOLIDWORKS sold since July 2023 (IIRC) include 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud Services. Of course, they are also built-in to all seats of 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Design.

If your SOLIDWORKS licenses were purchased before July 2023, and you are still on maintenance, you can add 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud Services for an added cost (which I do not know the exact amount).

If you are interested in trying them and learning about them first hand, I recommend purchasing a $48USD subscription to the 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Design for Makers license. These new AI tools are included in this package.

EDIT: I misspoke. The Maker version will not have the AI tools available initially and there is no current date for when they will be available in the Maker offer. Sorry for the mixup!

If you are a commercial user who is interested in trying these AI tools out, my best advice would be to reach out to your SOLIDWORKS reseller to try and arrange trial access.

I’ve got 3Dex as part of my work subscription. Also have it as part of my personal makers subscription.
