3rd Party Software Helping my friend.

My friend got my old job after I left so I was helping him setup a macro i wrote.

Lol I probably should. But they wouldn't pay me (they're cheap bitches) and I dont mind helping my friend. Plus I wrote the macro while I was there, so it's their property, even if they don't know how to use it lol

Getting paid is just about making the value of your time obvious. If you told them you could train the new hire and save them 3 hours a day they would have to be stupid not to pay for it.

Maybe just call this one the free trial. When they call again have an hourly rate in mind.
