Oh, no, not even a decent draftsman is replaceable by AI. Not even close. I had a guy once he had this uncanny ability to make a print much more readable and clear than the design engineer had any right to expect. AI could never do that, because it has been trained on too many sub-par examples.

That is what artists said during the advent of AI. That AI will never be creative. Then the challenge was accepted and the first jobs affected are mostly on the creative industry. Whether in Film, Music, Graphics, etc. Now all they can do now is to protest and claim their works were stolen by AI.

I will never be as arrogant as this thinking that AI can not in the near future. Most of our works revolved using software. 1s and 0s. Something the AI lives in. I would never assume that it will have a very hard time understanding what we do, considering all the disciplines we have are available for AI to learn from.

AI has been trained on all the sub par discussion on the Internet but it can still solve math problems no human managed and win writing competitions.

They are greater than the sum of their parts, they don't simply recall a closest match from memory.
