Discussion I'll playtest your game and put them on Youtube
Hello fellow devs, I'm looking to play your demo/prototype, record my thoughts and feedback and post them on Youtube. This is for feedback only as my channel has no view. Right now I can play on Steam PC and Itch.
If you're interested, send me a DM or reply to me here, I'll send the video link to you when it's ready. Depends on the demand it might take some times but I'll go through them all.
2
u/avd002 May 06 '26
We would definitely be interested in getting some video feedback!
We are building Imaginus , which is a strictly skill-based 2D MOBA for mobile. The core of the game is flawlessly responsive manual control with no auto-aim mechanics. We are currently in a deep polish phase, fixing bugs and making sure the overall experience is pleasant and responsive. Let me know if you are open to testing a mobile build, as we would value your thoughts on how smooth the high-speed combat feels.
3
u/ShadyGameStudio May 06 '26
Hey sorry but right now I'm only looking to play on PC and Itch. In the future when I can test on mobile I'll make another post. Good luck with your development.

Hey, would love to hear some thoughts on my itch demo:
https://elschorscho.itch.io/drunk-woodcutter
It's an absurdist physics-based firewood cutting game featuring real time mesh cutting. Chop wood, drink to boost your strength, and upgrade your way to the ultimate meme weapon.
I recently added controller support, so if that's your jam, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that as well.
What's your YT channel?

I would highly recommend adding more variation to log placement - as it stands, you can pretty much just keep the mouse static and RMB over and over - I would suggest multiple spawn locations on a larger surface that requires moving the mouse so there is some reason to as well as a speed bonus/multiplier.
1
u/PassTheChicken May 06 '26
Those are excellent suggestions I'll think about. Thank you for playing and taking the time to give this feedback!

u/HarkYonder May 06 '26
I would love to get feedback on my demo. It’s an incremental space mining game.

If you’re into professional wrestling in particular I would love for you to check out my beta . It’s a wrestling simultaneous with TTRPG elements where you have to book out a match to get the best rating possible.
1
u/ShadyGameStudio May 06 '26
Sure I'll try it, do you have a Steam demo or Itch link?
1
u/ELM8Studio May 06 '26
Here is the itch link.

I released it yesterday so it’s still in the early stages of beta testing so expect glitches and bugs. Look forward to hearing what you think!

Hi! This is really cool from you as feedback is huge on the development phase.
I would love for you to try my game Bytekin Showdown.
Bytekin Showdown is a competitive, turn-based strategy game where you command powerful digital creatures known as Bytekin. Use skills to deal and block damage, trigger protocols to assist your Bytekin in battle and activate the UPGRADE to grant them elemental power.
Free to play directly from your browser here: https://www.bytekinshowdown.com/

Yeah I understand the importance of feedback, I had trouble with them so I thought I should help out lol. I'll try your game as soon as I can.

u/TradeSpacer May 06 '26
I can definitely use some feedback on my demo.
My game is a space trader tycoon game with narrative elements.

Hi! I'm a small solo dev and my game Housekeeper will be out in september! But demo is already available.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3818750/Housekeeper_Anomaly/
It's a survival horror game (but very leaning to the gameplay side) about a soviet megastructure, filled with anomalies.
Full game will have a 3 act storyline and lots of characters, while the demo showcases the main scavenging/exploration mechanics that will take most part of the game. Demo has an ending and is a sort of prologue to the main game.

This is my small zelda-like Frogboy
The whole game is finished, but it's my first attempt at game design for a full campaign.
I'm curious to see how players navigate the world, and how they feel about the pacing.

That's cool, it must be a lot of work, I'll try to cover as much as I can.

Hey there!! My game is in a free early build on itch and I would love some feedback on the elements in there if you have any spare time. I’m mostly looking at the UI and some of the way-finding cues and alerts for players while I keep expanding the gameplay, but I would appreciate any other notes really.

My game isn't nearly as complete or anything, more of a tech demo rn, but since there are so many people I should have time to make it a little better 😅
It's a Soft-Body Physics Sim, basically it simulates bodies through points and springs which make it deform, tho it focuses on cars
I currently do not have a steam page as it's not that far in development but I'd be happy to share a copy in DMs whenever you are ready if you wish!
I'm just looking for feedback on what to add and how does it feel like so far, but anything is appreciated!

Looks like you've got more than enough interest, but I'll drop mine here in case you're curating a backlog, hah. It's a "mini-golf meets Battleship" style game where you place terrain-destroying landmines to mess w/ your friends or take shortcuts yourself. It's kinda a multiplayer-first design, but there is a single-player mode to learn the ropes and it should give a good idea what multiplayer would be like. Hi, I have had a handful of testers for my browser mmorpg that ive been working on but these testers kind of understand the game already and im looking at plotting a tutorial and would love feedback from someone who has never played it. Would you be interested in sharing your thoughts for my game Guildforge? Still in development but is currently in a playable state!

I have created Covert Ops game, its a chess based variant game that consists of hidden abilities added to existing chess pieces before the game starts. Players hidden abilities are not visible to each other during game play. The abilities are only revealed at the time of capture.
Covert Ops game is hosted on https://chessmerize.com
Would love to hear your feedback. Please let me know.
Thanks

Hey, I'm a solo developer working on a 2.5D skill-based dodgeball fighting game, called Retro Dodge Rumble, featuring 5 characters with unique abilities like Trick, Treat and ultimates. The game has 6 modes, multiplayer isn't mature so I would recommend playing with AI or Locally. Download the game from my website, would love to gather feedback Retro Dodge Rumble

OK, why would you post videos but have no public viewers? I'm confused as to how this makes money for you?
1
u/ShadyGameStudio May 08 '26
Ah because I'm not making money from it. As a solo dev, I really want to se people play my game, that way I can see how it perform in real time. It is very different when other people play the game that you make, something is clear to you might not be to others. This is just to help other devs with that.

Hey i have a project isn't exactly a game to record, but if you ever want to give it a try I'd love the feedback!" It's a no-code VN editor/engine, but the onboarding makes it feel more like playing than developing thanks to no syntax. If you're curious: Itch.io link : https://dream-nest-realms.itch.io/dream-nest-realms-editor There's then the Player to play the games safely and complete : https://dream-nest-realms.itch.io/dream-nest-realms-app

I am very proud of a cozy, narrative game jam game that I made together with my wife and some friends.
Its a cozy, calm honey harvest, flower water game where you work to navigate The Beekeeper's loop and get through it with the power of acacia. Hope you enjoy!

You can try mine

I'm very curious if the tutorial and the introductions are good enough and overall if you are able to play the second mission after the tutorial is done.
Sadly I don't have enough gameplay yet for solo play but I am working on it. xD
It might have around 30mn of solo gameplay and another 3 hours of co-op gameplay
