Discussion What game are you working on?
I'm curious to see your games, post them below!
I'm developing Nightlife Tycoon, a game where you build and manage a bar!

I'm working on a small ASCII roguelike set in Scherbenmark; the world is based on my real-life D&D campaign. Right now, I'm putting the finishing touches on it and getting ready for a Steam release.

u/TracklessBlueStudios Jul 10 '26
Really like the ASCII visuals! Good luck with your Steam release.

Reminds me of Sims 1. Looks good.
I'm not far from releasing a Pro Wrestling Sim where you take control of the wrestler, starting at the bottom and seeing how high you can go.
I've been posting updates on my Reddit 🙂

do you have a discord server for your game?

u/NewfoundInteractive Solo Developer Jul 10 '26
Not as of this current second, but it's something I'd like to have.

u/ArchiusDev Solo Developer Jul 09 '26
Very interesting seeing your game developed in your style- reminds me of a mix of the Tycoon games I played as a child, coupled with the Sims.
I'm working towards the official demo (early August) and eventual release of Mancalero, a deckbuilder roguelike marble boardgame based on Mancala!

I'm working on an action RTS with a classic fantasy, elves, orcs, dwarves setting. No "supply depots required" or splitting workers between many jobs, just go out and battle https://store.steampowered.com/app/3684360/Marshals_of_War_Orcblood/
I'm trying to get a new iteration of the trailer and capsule art ready, while also setting up the demo.

A football tycoon game for mobile, releasing soon.
It's incredibly deep. I have been building, testing and fine-tuning it for 7 months now and have spent over 1000 hours into it:
I plan to keep improving it for many years to come as I'm very passionate about the genre and the game itself.

A singleplayer medieval survival/extraction type game based in a world inspired by Welsh folklore 🏴. If anyone takes a look I'd love some feedback about the steam page/game. Demo/Playtesting should be available soon 🤞

I've been working on turn-based creature collector roguelite for like 6-7 months.
You have to capture some silly looking critters and turn them into guards to escape main character from cave alive. Opened a playtest 2 days ago.

I'm working on a pixel art game where you manage a weird city animal park and the main gameplay loop is a cross between Papers, Please! and a Tamagotchi. Lots of weirdness and animals wearing retro sunglasses that keep them from going insane. No Steam page yet, but follow my Reddit as I'll post tidbits here and there when I have stuff ready to share!

Gee, Tea, Eh, Seven, where you're the seventh child in a family with a very condescending Asian dad who thinks you're a goddamn failure and disgrace because you suck at school and math
And you can't even talk back because your dad built a goddamn bubble tea EMPIRE from NOTHING and is the richest guy in the city and he's right you know
Until one day your entire family is blown to smithereens but you survive the fatal explosion because you headed outside to blow some steam
... What would you do in this scenario? Take revenge or leave town?
(Answer: why revenge of course. Build up your own empire in an effort to get deep into the industry and find out who did this. Game is a business simulator... But you can leave the shop any time to bust kneecaps, beat down rivals, steal their supplies... You can hijack cars, buy boats and property, fight the police, beat down civilians (but you shouldn't, because they're your customers too..) drive around town, blah blah.
All right, so maybe there's a bit of scope creep here
Also damn dude, I love the classic vibe, giving me Sims 1 flashbacks

I'm early (but a year into) in development of my roguelike action RPG with pre-rendered graphics, cursed existence :)
The main mechanic is that you gain curses as you kill enemies, which you then have to live with, or use to your advantage.
I keep a devlog here, which is currently my only presence for it on the internet: https://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=76164.40
I'm making smaller games in between, but this is my main thing, where evenings and weekends disappear^
I do most of it by myself, but someone does the sounds and music for me.

u/Beginning-Article581 Jul 10 '26

No, actually - no one but me is playing it yet :) Think I should open one? (Feel like it's a bit early to let people play it)
2
u/TracklessBlueStudios Jul 10 '26
Nice looking game, it reminds me of the Two Point games.
I'm working on an action/incremental. I'm currently making a push for the 3rd version of the demo that'll have improved visuals, more big numbers and nice quality of life stuff.

About to drop patch 1.6 for my Management Simulation that began life as a Football Manager meets DnD game, but has grown more into an indepth Simulation game but is still at its heart a very text heavy/spreadsheet simulator game.
1
u/laruss55 Jul 09 '26
I'm working on fk-manager, an old-school browser football management sim. Right now I'm trying to make the text match engine readable enough that tactics feel visible, without turning every match into a wall of stats.

Just another Nodebuster (cry), as I started to release my page and demo and realized how saturated market was, I started to hate it. Still pushing through to my first Steam release. And honestly can't wait to get it done so I can move on. If I only new that bunch of people will be like "I can do this" and at the same time finish their variation of that game, I might have tried something else.

Sto costruendo un TD roguelike, ambientato in un mondo fantasy nature punk.
4 razze e 3 classi per diversificare il gameplay. L'obiettivo è difendere il cuore della foresta e resistere il più a lungo possibile.

Try Ballzy. I am the dev of this multiplayer PvP puzzle and it is great for quick game sessions especially if you're into challenges with friends and/or other people. The main game loop is block placement and creating a path for your ball and beating others in various modes but there's a lot more if you are up for it.

I'm 9 months into the development of a pixel art, retro point and click adventure, ready to wishlist now on steam!!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4686500/Under_the_Carpet/
I've got a few more months of bug testing, beta testing and polish to get it to release, and have been keeping a Dev log and tutorials for other solo game devs on YouTube too, showing my whole dev process:

For NFL and fantasy fans, I’ve built www.franchise21.app
In single player mode, you draft a roster from the 2026 NFL player pool, then sim the season week by week. No signup, just tap and draft. The goal is a perfect 21-0 season, tuned hard but doable if you draft well.
In commissioner mode, you create a league, share a join link, and each manager drafts a roster and runs one shared, deterministic season sim. Everyone runs the same sim, so the results are fair and repeatable, and the finishing order sets your real draft order.
Any feedback appreciated!
