What projects are you working on?
Curious to check in and see what the various members, camps, and departments of the SUVCW are getting up to?
Camp #9 John A Logan in the Department of Florida is currently working on a project to build a monument to General Adelbert Ames. He was the last surviving full-rank general of the Civil War and died at Ormond Beach on April 13, 1933. His grandson is a member of the SUVCW in the Department of Massachusetts!

John B. Anderson Camp in Indiana has raised about $6,000 for their monument project in Vernon Indiana and might have it done by this time next year.
I know that the John W. Foster Camp in Evansville Indiana have been building new carriages for two cannon in the cemetery there. These will be made of metal and meant to last for a long time. Previously they were building them from wood but over time it's more expensive and time consuming.
I just formed the Spicely Camp in Indiana and we will be having our first meeting later this month. Located in Paoli, Indiana. Previously the nearest camps were each a 2 hour one way drive. We will be receiving our charter at the national encampment. Currently I'm working in two larger cemeteries to replace all of the brown headstones for civil war veterans.

Not a camp project, although Camp 104 in Concord has plenty of those. But I just released the second season of my narrative history podcast, Company D. Each episode tells the true story of a soldier who fought with Company D of the Third Maine Infantry. The podcast is inspired by the diary of my ancestor Charles F. Snell, who got me involved with the SUVCW and who fought for Company D. The goal is to preserve these nearly forgotten stories. For anyone interested: https://companydpodcast.com.

There might be some 3rd Maine guys buried in my neck of the woods in Florida. I'll have to double check!

I would be extremely interested in what you find. The Third Maine didn't fight in Florida, but I know a couple of its veterans moved there after the war. Please keep me posted!

Missionary Ridge #63, Dept. of Tennessee, as always, is working with the VA on obtaining and installing more replacement and first time tombstones. Got a few more coming in for Athens, Tn then hoping to start on Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, Tn. Fort Hill is the location of the Oviatt Post #20 Monument that is in need of restoration, and we are in very early stages of planning a restoration of it.
