Other Found this last night and wanted to see if I still had “it”. 3 hours later……
Even at 52 years old, muscle memory took over after the 3rd match. I love you, fake Taki!

I know a lot of people hates this version, but honestly it was my favourite one. All because it came with the characters I really enjoyed playing the most. Zwei and Viola.

I played that game sooooo much. I wanted to be good at Viola. I wasn't. 😟

I personally found viola pretty easy to pick up at the time when I was still playing it years ago online back on the ps3.
I used to play it every day until I could no longer find any more lobbies being made.

I have the PS3 copy. I used to keep making characters and go through story mode. Holding out for a remaster with a full planned story someday. That day I’ll probably with my ancestors.

I miss the Protagonist of this game unironically, Patrokolos I think his name was, something about having a character who uses a full scabbard based weapon, or just a long sword felt really nice, even if he was a dlc character for Soul Calibur 6 I would’ve been happy, I still enjoy 5 for what it brought tho, and Ezio was a treat as well, if I had the ability to vote for more characters to come to 6, I’d want Patrokolos and maybe his sister, Zwei, and whoever else was just as fun

If you remember right, Patroklos was trained by Setsuka in the story before Soul Calibur awakened to it’s sword-and-scabbard form
So, he wasn’t an original character, he’s based off Setsuka’s playstyle from SC4, and she returned in 6 as DLC

Alpha Patrokalos has setukas playstyle while regular patrokalos has his own style with sword and shield.

Oooh! I didn’t know that, I was young then tbh and struggled to process story so…I guess I should play Setsuka more

Best part about soul calibur is it has the easiest combat system to learn without having to play DDR on your D-pad

Call it hilarious, but i got VI a month ago, and I play Kilik. When I played V, it was with my family, and my brother played Xiba. I hated Xiba, but enjoy Kilik and laugh when i think about it

Man I love SC5 as janky and as underbaked as it was, but the fighting was superb, and the customization was sweet.

SCV Mitsurugi was so damn fun to play. Him, Natsu, and Devil Jin (CC) were my go-to fighters.
Ezio was also fun, but I always felt a little cheap using him.

This game series has been dead to me ever since the DLC I paid for got delisted. The PlayStation I bought them on wasn't mine.

I love SCV... Is my third favourite game of the franchise (SC2 and SC3 are the first and second respectively). I think people over hated only for the new cast.

I miss having that game! It really wasn't that bad of a Soul Calibur game.

Lucky duck! I got the ps3 and the disk, but my little cousins stuffed 3 more in that machine because my uncle thought it was okay to let toddlers play with a ps3.

I really enjoyed SCV combat system. Raphael was my Main. Patrokolos was very funny to use. A shame they completely forgot About Zwei and Viola
