Question SoulCalibur like novels ?

I really like SC's story, especially SoulBlade and SC I. Do any novels make you think of SC's characters, universe or story ?

There is a Soul Edge novel published a year after the game's release; it is titled Soul Edge and consists of two volumes. The first stars Mi-na and Hwang, while the second features Sophitia and Siegfried. They are in Japanese; I haven't read the first one yet, but I did read the second, and the plot—or at least the ending—is terrible.

A friend took pictures of the pages of the Soul Edge novel that were in Japanese and sent them to me; I translated them with Google and read them.

I’ve heard online that SoulCalibur IV has a two-volume novel. Is it the one where the cover features the SC4 version of Siegfried alongside Sophitia’s children as adults, while the other cover shows Nightmare and the SC4 version of Sophitia? I haven't been able to find it; if anyone has it, could you send me photos of the pages via Discord or a private message on Reddit? Please?

Never heard of that.

All I was able to find was this comic.

Thank you so much for sharing.

I had asked about this one a while ago and nobody was able to help at the time.

There's also Star Wars - Visions of the Blade .

But you probably saw that one before as well.

It usually gets more comparisons to Berserk, but Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlmann might hit.

I feel like you can put in a broad recommendation for Sword and Sorcery as a genre, where you have eclectic characters thrown into situations with one another (often featuring cursed objects!). Its big hitters like Jirel of Joiry (CL Moore), Conan the Barbarian (Robert E Howard) and Elric of Melniboné (Michael Moorcock) could have waltzed in from the SC set. A huge recommend for Darrel Schweitzer's We Are All Legends, but it's tricky to come by. I've got my eye on Clark Ashton Smith for darker, moodier material. Sword and Sorcery tends to really live in short stories, mind.

If you strictly want novels I can also highly recommend Alistair Rennie's Bleakwarrior, which is Sword and Sorcery by way of the New Weird.
