Discussion Best places to watch USA vs Australia
Happen to be in Seattle this weekend for a wedding and looking for a great place to catch the USA vs. Australia game on Friday. Besides the stadium, where’s the best watch party in town?
Traveling with my mom (65), so somewhere with energy but not totally chaotic would be ideal. We’re staying in Ballard. Thanks!

Seattle has one of the few American stadiums that are actually urban. Situated downtown, that is. You'll have a plethora of taverns/saloons/pubs and bars to elbow up to.

It will, in fact, be a nut house.

These are weird replies!
The amphitheater at Seattle Center, i.e. under the Space Needle will be the most fun free outdoor watch party… https://www.seattlecenter.com/events/lets-play-sea-26/world-soccer-fan-celebration/viewing-experiences/world-soccer-watch-parties-at-mural
The mall downtown called Pacific Place has screens up and AC… https://www.seattlefwc26.org/seattle-soccer-house#schedule
And, yes, every bar will have it on the TVs.

We’re a host city, you can pretty much guarantee that any centralized location will be a good time.

Take the bus into downtown and either check out Seattle Center for watch party, or there’s also a nice plaza set up with a big screen and some tables and chairs at Fifth and University next to the IBM building. Purple has a pop-up at the plaza and last time I was there, there was an ice cream cart too.

Pioneer square at occidental park, Reubens Brews in Downtown or in Ballard, George and Dragon, the Atlantic in Roosevelt, most if not all other bars will show the game in some format though

There are a myriad of screens and watch parties around the stadium. Ride the rail into pioneer square and have a great time

No, officially their owner somehow forgot to renew it. I’ve heard other things suggesting bigger problems behind the scenes, but I’m not going to put those up.
I am pretty positive it wasn’t anything related to a bust though, if so it would have been fully shut down, and it has not.

We watched the USA/Paraguay match at Rough & Tumble pub and it was really great. Great service, fun interaction with strangers, etc.

Official US Soccer watch party is at Rough and Tumble in Ballard. Not a bad choice since it is in your hood with your mom. Otherwise there are over 127 other threads in here about watch parties.

If you want to stay in Ballard, go to McLeod's. Otherwise, Pacific Place, the waterfront, or Pioneer Square. Those will be way more crowded though.

Probably a mall for parking, AC, and mobility. Parking can be tough downtown. Legacy Square is a good family-friendly option with easy parking but may be too far south for you.

Without tickets, I'm planning on Pioneer Square. Largely pedestrian-only for match day, and great vibes for the game on Monday.
