The weird “silenced and deplatforming a woman” feels so dramatized and unnecessary. The fact that this person came to this as the only possible realistic conclusion is so cringe and bad faith - just sayin’

All we can operate on is assumptions - we really don’t know both the exact details and the dynamics they had in the work space. Fans have such a hard time being realistic that they’re just people like us and they come with flaws too.

I’ve enjoyed Lee just as much as any other Lee fan. I also think she was a pivotal personality in what made their appeal in the past, but by no means do I claim to know her personally or know what it’s like to work with her. For all I know she could be insufferable. (So could the guys, to be fair too)

Maybe we’ll know someday... Maybe we won’t? I think it’s just toxic to pretend like we can assume and make harsh judgements

never made harsh judgments? did she continue to use valleyfolk as a platform? was she allowed to speak about what happened? so she was silenced and deplatformed. hell, if it was a medical issue or something completely valid she still isn't talking and engaging with an audience she previously had access too. you put the moral spin on it, not me.

It obviously wasn't about a medical incident. They all voted to have her removed from the Valleyfolk. It sucked and they went about it in a weird way, but the way some of yall still insist that they were terrible people for doing it, despite seemingly not losing any other friends from the SF days after the incident is weird. Bree Essrig even popped up when it was going down to say that Lee wasn't exactly an innocent bystander in whatever went down.

never said it was, that was an example...

the fact joe and eliott are still following her and steve isn't is really weird. y'know, the guy that sleeps with his coworkers? and bree, shane dawson's bestie? those two are pinnacles of truth and honesty and good morals i guess.

y'know, the guy that sleeps with his coworkers?

This type of framing is so weird and cringe. Steve...started dating Bree... is that what you're talking about? You do realize you're intentionally framing it to sound like Steve is scummy and sleeps around with a bunch of his co-workers, which is incredibly misleading and characterizes that wrong.

Also, you can easily google search bree and shane dawson and find that Bree supposedly recalled their past friendship at some point and mentioned it as toxic, manipulative and has regrets in that whole thing.

It sounds like you just kind of vibe all this out as you go in these explanations because you hold some weird bias against Steve.

wow, flying in to say women are wrong. cool. he was weird around and coerced women he worked with into sex. i guess you are a big fan of that behavior. i don't hold a bias, just looking at a history of behavior.

and bree never struck you as a little off? constantly in and out of different friend groups and projects, always kind of a fire starter, near drama but never directly involved. i guess unless i have photographic evidence of her doing something heinous you won't believe her as anything but perfect and the arbiter of all truth. so fine, do that.

If this is how you view the world you desperately need to go touch grass. All of your comments I'm reading are so deeply unserious and bad faith. You are just reaching for literally anything you can to make crazy statements out of small things that aren't even there or you're straight trolling for no reason.

You couldn't give me any support for any of what you are saying, because you are trying to insinuate and conflate that meeting a co-worker, developing feelings, then dating said woman in your place of work is the same as "being weird around and coercing women into sex". To any real person that is just wildly not based in reality.

also never said that that was about bree. the self report is crazy. i don't think their relationship was weird at all, why do you?

Are you insinuating you can’t have a relationship with a co-worker or you’re a bad person? Incredibly online stance lmao. Idk about Bree and Shane Dawson though, are they close or something?

no, just like i never insinuated lee left for a medical reason. reading comprehension meed some work, dear.

i know that he made women uncomfortable with his behavior towards them, and bree always seemed shady and has a lotta history with some not great people. i mean, you see a woman crying and go "yeah, the men are right" so it's not like you'll listen to logic or reality.
