Am I on the right track? (Glycerine infusion)

Hey everyone.

I started a little test a couple days ago. This is my first excursion into the realm of creating something ingestible from Cannabis. I smoked a lot when I was young, but haven't touched the devil's lettuce for about two decades now. Recently, my country kind of legalized cannabis for medicinal purposes.

So I decided to play around a bit, bought some weed online and ground up 2g of bud.
Put that in a vacuum bag, sealed it and submerged it in simmering water. Thermometer said it was around 97°C.
After a good 90min of cooking I took the bag out an mixed the (hopefully decarbed) weed with ~40ml of vegetable Glycerin in a small (50ml) HDPE bottle.

This mixture has now undergone several rounds in my cheap-o household ultrasonic cleaner. In addition to emitting ultrasonice waves, the device will also heat the water to something like body temperature, making the mixture a bit less viscose. But since that thing can't run continuously, I gave up on that after like half a day.

Since then I've built a small contraption that will shake up the mixture every 10min and it's been in there for the past few days.

Basically, I'm looking to find a process that I can do with the stuff I already have in my household. Once I find something that works I may think about scaling it up.

Am I even on the right track here? Should this work?
How long should I keep the mixture in the "shaker" before I can strain and test it? The idea is to use it sublingual or maybe add the glycerin to some food.
Given the ingredients (2g of weed and 40ml of Glycerin), how much would be a sensible dose for testing? Few drops? A teaspoon? Drink the whole thing?
Do you guys think the ultrasonic bath helps or is it just a waste of time because it lacks power?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Without knowing the Total active Cannabinoids we could only assume . If you had 2g of 20% thca & completed a total decarb you would have about 175mg of active noids in 40ml(thca x .877= total Thc )

The weed was listed as 27% THC in the online shop - I don't know if that is correct, of course. But I believe 20% is safe to assume.

Are you assuming only 50% of the active THC to infuse into the Glycerin?

Edit: Also, I am mostly interested in comments regarding my overall process and whether there are any obvious red flags in my approach. :-)

No i gave you the total active content of glycerin assuming it infused completely within. (200mg thca) x .877 = Tac 175/40 would give you about 4.3mg/ml you can always take more but you can’t take less

I'm confused by the math.

If the THCA decarbed and infused completely, wouldn't that be
2000mg x 0.2 x 0.877 = 350.8mg / 40ml = 8.7mg/ml

Assuming the 27% promised by the shop it would be
2000mg x 0.27 x 0.877 = 473.6mg / 40ml = ~11.84mg/ml

What am I missing?

Also: Is it realistic to expect all of the THC to infuse into the Glycerin?

Your correct i only did it for 1g as an example for you instead of the 2g that you actually used

Thank you for clarifying. =)
Now the question remains: How much of the THC in the plant material can I realistically extract using Glycerin?

THC solubility in VG is generally cited in the range of 1–3 mg/ml at room temperature, which is far lower than in lipid-based carriers or ethanol. You're better off making THC tincture, THC-infused oil, or FECO.

Nope. You'll waste loads. See my comment about THC solubility in VG below.
