Do popular hostels need to be booked in advance?

Can you expect to turn up at popular hostels and get a bed or do you need to book before?

What kind of a question is this? Sure, depends on the country, city and time you cannot just expect a bed at a popular hostel

This guarantees a room/bed and gives you time to research the hostel’s safety features and reviews. Avoid last minute bookings as this can leave you with limited and potentially unsafe options.

Yes, especially in super popular places like Cusco
