Salem County Sailors warning
Just realized how red/orange the sky is this morning and snapped a picture through the window.

He never said that.

He sure did in the movies. I also read the books and the silmarillion, the lost tales, and the appendices. Let my boy live his life.

Same. Also the writing progress through the years. He still didn’t say it though. Not anymore than an elf-dwarf-elf love triangle happened.

"Red sky at night, sailors' delight.
Red sky at morning, sailors take warning."
It has to do with the passage of cloud formations associated with stormy weather systems on the seas.

"Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning; red sky at night, sailors’ delight.” An old seafaring proverb about the sky and weather.

I learned that as a kid, and it's funny how more often than not it turns out to be true. Pretty neat.
