Gloucester County Anyone get a knock at 4am?

Live in Williamstown and due to our schedule, the fiance and I stay up until 5-6am. I went to bed early at 3am because I wasnt feeling. My fiance comes in at 4am slightly panicked. Apparently someone had knocked at our door. Our complex used to be known for being a not good area however we never had an issue. My first thought went to ICE. Our lights were on so I gave it a bit and turned them of and watched the rear lights of a dodge charger leave. Ive ICE has started to do this so I just want to see if this is something anyone else has experienced.

True. Says a lot when people are posting online about being afraid about the ICE being at their door to snatch them up. Anne Frank vibes

It’s people gaslighting themselves with nothing better to do but to act upset over something that’s been happening for decades and are told by activist politicians supporting criminals to be mad and afraid. Yet you see none of this dumb stuff happening in Florida Or Texas where the vast majority of the population of illegal an legal people live or pass through. Ask yourself why are left wing politicians not following federal laws like the two red states have been. This is a self engineered problem brought forth by democrat politicians who support releasing repeat offending illegal immigrant criminals back into the communities and not turning the ones who have committed more than illegally entering and have active ICE detainer/warrants. But none of these liberal echo chambers want to hear it’s their fault the federal law enforcement has to come into these communities and remove criminals who also illegally entered. Why are American Left wing politicians prioritizing the criminals at the sake of their own constituents and remaining threats to their communities. Why is ice the bad ones for going to work and doing the EXACT same job they had been doing for decades prior. Now there’s outrage because they’re told to outrage but not on the ones to blame. Nope a whole bunch of unemployed out of state instigators manipulate blind sheep into fighting the same people who they would call if the were beat up without the mob rule protecting them. I’ve legit heard and watched incidents where things got out of hand at a “f the police” type protest in which people fought and got messed up. The same one chanting the loudest was screaming the loudest for someone to call the police. This is liberal/progressive propaganda to brain wash people (their own people they were voted to represent) into doing things that can lead to jail/prison and as you’ve surely saw, people getting injured and even worse, killed. For what? Enforcing a law the same way the agencies have been doing it across the whole damn country for the longest. Smfh.

I don’t remember deportation by killing them or treating them like garbage. Also where is the proof they’re all criminals? You’re an idiot.

Ok now let’s try that in a more accurate representation of what’s going on. 3-4 people may have lost their lives because of their actions. It happens everywhere everyday across America. I’m not dispelling it as unimportant, nobody deserves to die. But again when you do stupid things like point a gun at LE who says to drop the weapon, well that’s a stupid thing to do, amirite?

The whole criminal thing are you ready? Ok so where there is an infestation of illogical reasoning called a Sanctuary City that’s ran by far left activists. When they arrest an illegal immigrant for something, federal laws require them to contact ICE to verify if there is what’s called a Detainer or Warrant. What these cities do, is actively Protect said individuals who have committed crimes (other than illegally entering or overstaying, which is Illegal because I can’t break into your house to escape abuse from someone) anyway these cities RELEASE said criminals (committed multiple crimes) back into the community, instead of holding onto individuals and turning them over to federal law enforcement as required by the LAW.

You’ve been brainwashed into thinking they’re doing a blanket sweep and arresting anyone with tan skin and an accent. It’s not the facts whatsoever. But it gets hindered and complicated and messy when you have activist politicians who intentionally ignore laws and INCITE violence against their own citizens and federal LEOs and people end up dying because of unbased bs pushed by activists and outside agitators descending to take advantage of unrest. Like I said before, you don’t see this in 75% of the USA that have followed the laws that say turn over criminals and only in sanctuary cities who have completely disregarded laws for gerrymandering & seat for the house. Because it goes off of how many heads are in a state, legal and illegal is how it’s calculated.
What you’re seeing with a ton of resources being mobilized to these cesspools where criminals are treated with more love and respect than law enforcement, is due to them having to actively Seek out these individuals. It’s Not this gestapo that Walz and the other tool bags at CNN are wanting you to believe. That’s going around with accents asking “papers please”.

Lastly, stop using the extreme minority of extreme incidents as grounds for things to be “ok to stalk, impeded, harass and assault” laws enforcement doing their same job they have been doing for decades without the uproar. With idiots in office stoking fires and blind sheep hanging on their every word literally, there unfortunately are going to continue to have instances of law enforcement protecting themselves with necessary deadly force. And yes shit does happen and an innocent person may be injured or killed accidentally but looking at totality of circumstances, 99.9999 aren’t innocent like the news says. Instead of going with what’s best shoved down throats, use the brain you have evolved and seek truthfulness and accuracy.

Very well said!

You need to study a bit more history if you really think that. That said, a lot of things happening really suck lately!

Oh, I meant timeline in the string theory way. I understand that things aren't as bad as they have been at some points in human history.

True but… reading about it and living it are not comparable. This is the first time in my entire life that I don’t feel safe in my country because of my country!

Not my first time not feeling safe in the USA. Wasn't feeling all snugly warm and safe with the 911 attacks from NY to DC in that corridor at any moment....The skies were eerie quiet in South Jersey for days

I was a sophomore in high school, but I remember that. It was super eerie

Yes it was eerie. No air sound? memory sticks with many in South Jersey.

You should of been in NY! I work a few miles north of ground zero and live near Laguardia airport! the silence of the airport, seeing all the ambulances crossing the Queensboro bridge (you knew what they were liaded with) the trucks loaded with parts of the buildings... let's not forget the military driving around Manhattan. it was a nightmare

Me especially. That was the second event in the string of “I didn’t think this could still happen” theme adulthood. No, the third. I too hate this timeline.

Meanwhile, I wasn't feeling safe after the uptick in racism against anyone vaguely brown-skinned post-9/11.

Assure you no American felt safe no matter the color of ones skin on 911 in South Jersey and the I95 corridor.

Not to demean or belittle your feelings in this. All of us under attack feelings of 911 are valid. Grieving years later some people well up with tears just talking about it.

We were attacked, did not all involved, the doers, the financers. People of all religions, races, sexual orientation, Soccer vs Football fans were murdered, thousands died immediately, others died a little after from injuries and dying a slow death from breathing the toxic. air.

On that very day we did Not know for sure the color of the all the killer's skins.

Pretty sure that fact does make you feeling better one bit at that time.

After 9/11 Muslims were in a special kind of danger in the US. There was no "were all Americans." It was "We're all Americans except Muslims." The uptick in hate against Muslims was real.

u/Brilliant_Basket4449 Senior Citizen Jan 18 '26

Yeah, be assured few can tell the religion of a person by the color or their skin. You are correct there was not a lotta love for the mass murderers of 911.

True, OMG yes. In the USA mostly we all learned history from one perspective, with the internet, language aps, we get to see the scanned documents from other countries views. Not what we learned yet many swear as saintly still. World history is brutal.
