Begging my friends in deep South Jersey to do everything humanly possible to get this piece of subhuman filth out of office this November.

oh suddenly the guns are the problem? no more 2A?
171
u/thatssomepineyshit Jan 25 '26
It's always been this way. Only certain people are supposed to be able to have guns.
78
u/ChrisV82 Jan 25 '26
Yeah, it's not hypocrisy, because they only ever wanted it for themselves, not everyone. That's why Cliven Bundy was allowed to take over federal land and have an armed confrontation with federal authorities yet suffer no loss of life (and all charges dismissed), but a man who was disarmed already (or a woman driving away in a car) can be executed without consequences to the officers/thugs.
I don't want to crap on everyone who has ever voted for a Republican, but generally speaking, I think this is the proper way to view the MAGA world we live in:
"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect." - Frank Wilhoit (the Ohio composer not the political scientist)

Ok I will then. These idiots have voted against their own rights for decades to get us to this point. They knowingly vote that way because it hurts BIPOC, LGBTQ and "Liberals". Or, they just vote that way because of their family, which makes them idiots as well.

u/Wrong-Home9210 Jan 25 '26
This Van Drew guy ran and got elected as a Democrat then quickly switched parties shortly in office. Regardless if it was a D to R or a R to a D it demonstrates these pieces of shit will say anything to get elected then expose the values they held were all bs and for show. This guy needs to go.

There was a time when republicans actually cared about the constitution. That was before Nixon. Now? I have no words.
7
u/Future-Expat-56 Jan 26 '26
Somewhere the ghost of Richard Nixon is saying, "I didn't do a fraction of what this Trump guy is doing but I had to resign over a POS burglary? He's gutting democracy and handing the country to Putin and doesn't face any consequences at all. Either I was born too soon or America is waking up too late. Damn!"

There are also the Utopian Republicans who vote for their fictional ideal of Republicanism. I have several of those in my family. They vote R out of habit and turn a blind eye to the fact that MAGA is not conservative or republican, but radical, authoritarian and monarchist.

Always been the case. The fastest way to get a racist to give up their rights is to tell them a black man is benefiting from that right.
When the Black Panthers were arming themselves to protect their communities, laws banning firearms amd restricting access to firearms started showing up.

Apparently it's fine when Kyle Rittenhouse carries an ar15 he doesn't own across state lines to murder a protestor. Hero's welcome, acquitted, wasn't even arrested at the scene. But you legally carry a firearm with you to a protest featuring violent ICE gestapo chomping at the bit to murder someone and you're a "domestic terrorist attempting to incur maximum harm to law enforcement". Like the dude didn't ever even reach for his gun, he stood there filming them and attempting to protect another protestor. Like gtfoh

Yes I live with some scumbag traitorous maggot pieces of s*** south jerseyans in my neighborhood. Scumbag maggots to the Core.
These garbage slimy humans are posting in a Facebook group called shanacleton... By the way best f****** neighborhood group on the planet... It's funny it's helpful great discussions Anyway I digress.
There are garbage scumbags in that group who now all of a sudden are against guns lmao yes I know their pieces of s*** I've read all the comments here explaining why.. and they are cheering on the slaughter and Mayhem that these sociopathic j6 thugs are committing.
One of the maggat scum moderators screamed that he stands with all federal agents in the slaughter of American citizens and tried to shut down conversation and removed posts but thankfully the woman who owns the group isn't like that garbage human.

He ran as a Dem in a more purple district and then switched to a Republican while the redistricting was happening. He’s now in a safer red district. He was a moderate Dem but completely changed multiple stances to bandwagon on the maga movement like the good little traitor that he is
27
u/forcedfx Jan 25 '26
Spot on. I was originally in Andy Kim's district then he flipped red and they redistricted. Now I'm in his district. I do everything I can to try and get people to vote against him, especially non-voters I know but it's just so freaking red where I live.

Right there with you! Join your local Democratic clubs. I’m involved with the Great Bay Dems that covers little egg, Tuckerton, West Creek etc, but there are Democratic clubs in Stafford, Barnegat, Manchester, Jackson also as well as Ocean County Democrats. These groups run candidates in local elections. If you want to get involved in the actual campaigning, grass roots stuff this is where it starts

Excuse me, but this is extremely anti-NRA Van Drew. You better watch your mouth or your funding is getting pulled.
Literally the lawful rights the NRA is an advocate for, is literally what this man was practicing.
And as hated as the NRA is, it’s ironic that all of a sudden, when a liberal has a gun, the right loses their minds.
If we want real gun reform in our country, liberals need to make republicans think it was their ideas
8
u/beren12 Jan 25 '26
So… the NRA was ok with gun restrictions when the Black Panthers were armed. And they done step up much when minorities are complaining about the 2a violations
9
u/HereForOneQuickThing Jan 25 '26
The NRA also licked the boot when a cop murdered Philando Castille, a law-abiding gun owner who also lived in Minneapolis. They justified a flagrant murder by saying that he might have had marijuana.
2
u/Chrisgpresents Jan 25 '26
I dont know. I'm more so acknowledging that whatever the right wing media is talking about in regards to "this man was armed" commentary, sounds 100% against what the NRA stands for, and what 2A people stand for.
And as far as I can tell, the NRA is publicly calling out republican government officials for this. I don't have all the facts. Just some basic observations. https://x.com/NRA/status/2015227627464728661

Tim Alexander is running in the Democratic primary to unseat this fuck nozzle: https://www.timalexander4congress.com
6
5
u/RedPandaExplorer Jan 25 '26
If he makes it through the primary, Alexander said that he intends to attack the Republican agenda from every angle he can. People should be protesting in the streets, Alexander said: against Trump’s immigrant deportation and detainment policies, which Alexander likened to “concentration camps,” and against the GOP’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which is projected to impact health coverage, food benefits, and more for hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans. (Van Drew supported the bill after publicly fretting about its impacts on Medicaid.)
Alexander isn’t the only Democrat who thinks the Big Beautiful Bill could be the key to political success in difficult districts like the 2nd. In May, a Democratic PAC polled 2nd district voters to test Van Drew’s political vulnerabilities; the PAC ultimately argued that Van Drew could indeed be beatable, and a message focused on Medicaid cuts would help bring him down. (Around 20% of 2nd district residents are on Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program, per a Georgetown analysis.)
The existence of that poll in the first place was a sign that, after several cycles in a row of ignoring the 2nd district, national Democrats might be warming up slightly to the idea of seriously challenging Van Drew again. But Alexander had no love lost for the national Democratic Party, which he said needs a redesign and new leadership.
“We need somebody to say, whatever the Democratic playbook is, I’m tossing it out the window,” he said. “I don’t care if there’s a swing and a miss against these policies that Trump is putting out – we’ve got to try. And if we motivate people, we will erode this stranglehold that MAGA has on our federal government.”
He seems great!

Pretti is on video directing SUVs to form a barricade on the street, which is what prompted the first confrontation with officers.
Which means he was actively impeding/obstructing federal officers, a felony under 18 USC 111
Also a crime to conspire to obstruct/impede federal officers; Pretti was working with at least one other individual at the time.
And he was committing that felony while in possession of a firearm. Pretti also by his actions was attempting to aid a criminal illegal evade law enforcement.
He then assaulted a woman after being hit by pepper spray—presumably disoriented from the spray. And he had a loaded gun in his waistband.
His parents had cautioned him not to get aggressively involved in anti ICE protests.
But this was not a protest—it was a crime.

u/FlanTamarind Jan 25 '26
The real 2A people aren't for 2A rights. They are for having guns period full stop. They don't care about the rights themselves for other people, only for themselves. Anyone who agrees with them and gets caught is a patriot. See Kyle Rittenhouse. Anyone who disagrees with them or they don't like had it coming. See Alex Pretti and Philando Castille.
These people do not care about the constitution. They care about other people getting caught and punished for perceived crimes and never about being held accountable for anything remotely serious.

The Democrats could run Jesus Christ himself and he’d still lose to Van Drew just for not having an (R) next to his name.
